Chapter Text
Reigen opens the door to his living room, towel around his neck clearly done with his bath. He changed into his own respective pair of flannel pajamas already.
What he notices is shocking.
‘Is Serizawa.. Already asleep?..’
“Ah.. he must be asleep” Reigen whispers to himself.
‘I’m sorry, I’m pretending to be asleep. Better that than knowing any of his thoughts right now.
“Good night” Reigen-san whispers to me.
I feel more relaxed as I hear him start to walk off into another room. Then I hear his footsteps gradually getting closer.
‘Huh? Huh? Huh???’ I think to myself; suddenly anxious.
‘Why is he coming back?’
I panic and try to control my breathing to not give away the fact that I am, in fact, not asleep. Even without looking, I can still feel his presence as he’s leaning over me. I do everything in my power to not clench my fist as to not give away my status at the moment.
‘Ah.. I have no clue what he’s up to, it’s freaking me out!! Maybe.. I should try to flip over and touch him-’
As I prepare to turn, I hear Reigen’s phone vibrate and make some noise. And suddenly, I feel the presence of Reigen leaning over me slowly dissipate.
I wait for the footsteps to be out of earshot before I relax and sit up.
‘Hah…so he just came to get his phone?!?’
I let out a sigh of relief and think to myself again. ‘Reigen-san.. He likes me right? So.. why didn’t he do anything while he had the chance? W-WAIT THAT MAKES IT SOUND LIKE I WANTED HIM TO DO SOMETHING TO ME! Too much has happened to me today, my head’s all a mess…’

Reigen gently closes the bedroom door so as to not “wake up” Serizawa and sinks to the floor.
‘Hah… I can’t sleep.. ‘
As Reigen thinks this thought, Serizawa shares the same sentiment and starts to toss and turn. Reigen keeps looking between through the door and at the floor. A wavering feeling enters his mind.
‘Yknow.. What if I teased Serizawa a little- No! I don’t want him to hate me! -But it would be funny..- What the hell is happening to me, it’s like my mind split into two and turned into an angel and devil..’
Reigen makes over to his bed and stares at the ceiling not in hopes to make up his mind but rather to quell the discord in his head.
‘Sigh.. it should be sinful to be that cute when asleep..’

‘Well, since I can’t sleep.. I might as well do something productive..’
As the sun begins to illuminate Reigen’s bedroom, he reluctantly pulls himself out of bed and heads towards the kitchen and passes by a sleeping Serizawa.
‘Yknow, I got a pretty good look at him sleeping when I was grabbing my phone but Serizawa really is adorable when he sleeps. It really is a treat seeing him all relaxed and comfortable as opposed to his nervous and flighty nature back at the office. I’ll miss this..’
Reigen indulges a bit more and then decides to head to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
‘Judging from what he eats in the cafeteria.. I believe he must enjoy Japanese style food the most, I’ll get to work now.’

Serizawa rustles as he smells a decadent aroma. ‘Something smells good.. I wonder what’s going on..’
He then proceeds to sit up and pan around the room to see what’s going on. Serizawa sleepily stumbles towards the kitchen, pillow in hand and barely awake. As he notices Reigen chopping up something he thinks to himself: ‘He’s so refreshingly early in morning and making food to boot.. Is there anything he can’t do?’
Reigen suddenly notices Serizawa’s presence and turns towards him. “Ah, good morning Serizawa! How was your sleep, was the futon suitable?”
Serizawa attempts to look presentable to not embarrass himself, straightening his hair and gently tossing the pillow back to the futon.
“Oh, it was good, thank you.. Your futon is five no ten times softer than mine..”
“I made us some breakfast, would you like some?”
“Ah really? Thank you very much Reigen-san.”
“For the omurice.. Would you like it if I put some ketchup on top?”
“Yes of course! Thank you again for making me some breakfast.. You didn’t have to..”
“Nonsense, you are a guest of mine. Besides, I would feel better knowing you had something to eat..”

At the table there are several side dishes accompanying the omurice: some traditional miso soup, seaweed based salad, and some octopus dogs as well. As Serizawa eats he thinks to himself: ‘When was the last time someone had cooked for me..? Why does Reigen-san care so much about me..’ The thought had him on the brink of tears but he dared not to let a drop show.
“Yknow Reigen-san.. You’re really something else. Do you normally cook yourself a full breakfast in the morning?”
“Ah yes of course, why- would you care to join me?”
Serizawa immediately shoots down the idea. “No no, I would feel bad.. I couldn’t let you take care of me like that…” ‘Even if the food is so good, I can’t be tempted..’
Reigen seems to have a disappointed expression on his face for a second but he then shifts to a thoughtful mood.
‘Huh, I guess it wouldn’t be that easy.. Oh well, at least I made Serizawa happy just for today..’
