Chapter Text
Wonderlands x Showtime is a well known troupe by those who love Phoenix Wonderland, they're not only well known, but they're popular as well because of their chaotic dynamic. So, when other troupes hear Tsukasa scream like any other normal Wonderland's x Showtime day, they know something is up.
In a ridiculous way, of course.
Wonderlands x Showtime were just setting aside all their equipments after their last show of the day, deciding to only perform once for today. However, while Rui, Nene and Emu were taking down the other stage props, Tsukasa’s loud scream from their storage room.
“AHHHHHHHHHH!”
The other three members are confused, turning their heads at the same time at the way to the storage room. Nene sighed, “Please tell me it's not one of your idiotic stuff again, Rui,” her childhood friend gasps in fake offense, wiping a fake tear from his eyes.
“You wound me Nene…! How could you doubt your best friend like this…!” Rui fakes sob, Nene rolls her eyes at this and mutters a, “This troupe is entirely full of fools,” Emu gasps and puffs her cheeks, “Nene-chan!”
The sage haired girl sighs, “I was joking,” like on cue, Tsukasa screams again, “IT'S FLYING IT'S FLYING IT'S FLYING!!!” then loud running footsteps to the stage. “What's wrong?” Emu tilts her head with a frown.
Tsukasa takes a deep breath, “There's a roach at the storage room! It's DISGUSTING in there!” Rui chuckles at the typical clean freak Tsukasa. “So… What do you want us to do then???” Nene raises a brow, pulling the rope to close the stage curtains.
The blond scrunches his nose at this, “CLEAN! DEEP CLEAN THE STORAGE ROOM AND BACKSTAGE!”
“WHAT?!”
“Alright!”
“Awww,”
Out of the other three, Emu seems to be the only one enthusiastic about deep cleaning. She's practically excited to clean with her friends and probably knows they have to anyways, Nene’s face pales, Rui… Is being Rui. Disappointed that he can't get back to making his precious inventions.
The shorter girl runs to get the equipments, Nene is dreading her fate to cleaning the remaining hours while Rui fake sulked about the situation. “Boo… Tsukasa-kun, boo,” he says jokingly, the blond raises a brow at him. “You're taking down the curtains and replacing them and wiping the highest parts of the wall,” Rui sighs in fake exasperation, “This is abuse,”
“IT'S NOT!”
“For once… I agree,”
“WE NEED TO CLEAN THIS DISGUSTING PLACE UNTIL WE SEE NO BUGS AND RATS!”
Nene makes a face at the mention of rats and bugs.
Tsukasa continues with hands on his hips, before Nene says anything else, “You're in charge of sweeping and mopping the stage,” the girl groans, folding her sleeves up, giving up to her fate, “What a hassle,” she mumbles. Emu runs back with all the cleaning materials, “I'll wipe the audience's seats and sweep the ground!” jumping down from the stage and grabbing the bucket of water, soap, and cloth… Lots and lots of cloth.
“I'll clean the storage room,” Tsukasa smiles in satisfaction. “NOW START CLEANING, MEN!”
“We're not pirates, Tsukasa,” Nene huffed.
“I'm pretty sure pirates don't say that, Nene,” Rui comments.
“Shush, no one cares,”
“This is really abuse…” Nene complains, seconds away from throwing the broom and going home. “It's only been 3 minutes,” Rui sweat drops, Nene pulls her hair, “I WANNA GO HOMEEEEEEEE!”
“NOT UNTIL WE FINISH CLEANING!” they hear Tsukasa yell from the storage room. “And it's literally still 1:05 in the afternoon!”
“Why don't you-”
“Don't make me take away your main character privileges in our future plays, Nene,”
Rui stifles a laugh, folding the old stage curtains to put them in the box. On the other hand, it takes all of Nene’s mental power to not scream in frustration, before going back to work. “What did I do to deserve this,” she mumbles.
“We can survive this Nene… If we don't complain we'll go through this fast,” Rui says with determination.
Or so he thought.
This was harder than what he had anticipated. Yes, it is indeed difficult to insert the rope through the curtain holes. But that wasn't even his biggest dilemma… The thing is that… Rui’s head can't stop thinking about the possible stuff he can create for the shows and for fun, his hands shaking in excitement and impatience.
He glances at the clock… It's 1:15. They've been here, cleaning for 15 minutes long already. When he could've gone home and worked on his- when his eyes meet Nene’s, he swears Rui could see the ‘and you said we can survive this’ he pouts and continues doing his work.
However, as he did his… Chore… His brain decided to give him multiple ideas of new inventions. Grinning and chuckling at these new inventions in his head.
Maybe he should start working on a cleaning machine. His eyes “glint” at the ideas of new inventions , Nene stares at him like he was crazy.
“If you're planning on programming cleaning into Robo-Nene… Don't even try, Rui,” Nene narrows her eyes at him. “Come on… Why not? It'd be nice!” Rui reasons with a playful pout.
“Yeah… Sure… Say that for yourself,” Nene shook her head.
. . .
Emu was having the time of her life honestly. She finished soaping the first half of the chairs, then grabbed the hose rinsing the soap off the cleaned chairs. She then grabs the cloth she got, before wiping the chairs, Nene speaks up.
“Uh… That cloth is too thin, Emu. I doubt it'd be able to absorb water,”
The shorter girl tilted her head and eyed the cloth in her hand with a hard frown. Nene raises a brow, she thinks Emu looks constipated with that kind of expression. She decides to not say it, returning to her own chore.
After Emu dried the chairs, she thought of a fantastic idea of how to dry the cloth faster. Well… Of course, “By twirling it…!” she says, her eyes shining at the brilliant idea she thought she had.
She twirls the cloth.
“EMU- WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” Nene exclaimed, Rui giggling at the sight. “If I do this! It'll dry faster!”
Nene facepalms and gives up, getting back to work.
An hour before the sun sets, they FINALLY finished cleaning. A satisfied Tsukasa, an amused Rui, beaming Emu and an exhausted Nene who just wants to go home. “See?! It's all clean and nice to look at, right?!” their troupe leader yells with enthusiasm.
“That is true,” Rui nodded. Emu was rambling about how sparkly the area was and mentioning how they should clean more often. “Can we like… Just go home now?” Nene sighs.
Tsukasa nods and clasps his hands together, “We outdid ourselves today, we all deserve a nice dinner and rest! See you on Monday everyone!”
Nene mutters a “finally”. But honestly, it wasn't bad cleaning with the everyone. Not that she'd admit it.
