Chapter 4
Sky was swimming, he had just gotten to Jade Mountain after begging wren to let him go. He played with the other dragons in the water, but he couldn’t shake the feeling he was being watched. Perhaps it was just because wren was “sneaking around” and pretending he didn’t know she was there. Maybe it was his imagination, or it was because he was being watched by another dragon. Sure enough across the cave a dragon with black scales and red wings was staring at him. when she made eye contact, she looked away but he was sure she saw him smile. In a few minutes the other dragons left for the seminar. He got up from his spot and walked off towards the main cave. He got there just in time. they were just about to start. Slowly the cave quieted. Then the five founders walked in.
“Hello!” clay boomed, “Welcome to Jade Mountain Academy! This year we have quite a few new students. So, to accommodate all of the new dragons, we have opened a new winglet.”
Tsunami took over for him. “The lists for your winglets are posted over there. Go look at it we don’t need a whole speech just for you to forget it tomorrow.” Clay looked hurt so Tsunami added, “not that speeches aren’t important.”
There was a kind of list posted on the wall that contained all of the information about the winglets.

Sky, checked the paper and found his name at the bottom of the list, he was in the opal winglet. Once he knew what winglet he was in he found his way back to his dorm. Where a level one reading scroll was waiting for him along with a snail shell. Which he correctly assumed was from the not so sneaky wren. He dawdled as long as he could because he wanted to not go to sleep.
