After the announcement that the middle would be making a deal with nagel und hammer sinclair was worried, shivering his timbers so to speak and thus was a lot more on edge and just plainly paranoid, and after a while one of his co-workers noticed.
It had been a pretty plain afternoon for sinclair, enacting vengeance and the will of the book on some random people who thought that making fun of big brother's hair would be a funny joke, they are currently torn to shreds, he didn't feel sorry, but after a part of a cinq associated group came to protect said random's, things got a little hectic and he would now be tending to stab wounds and washing a lot of blood out of his hair, great as if it wasn't already hard to keep it soft and semi floofy he had a 6 step hair routine for god's sake, that was his internal thought process until one of his fellow middle members walked up to him.
"Hello there young brother Sinclair it has come to my notice that you're performance in and out of battle has lowered by 27% I would like to ask you why so I can help come to a solution so that you may return to full efficiency." said the little brother who was built like a brick wall, His name? meursault, sinclair had known him for a decent bit as he introduced himself alongside quixote, although he's a lot more quiet and reserved then she is, he was also apart of the bout between the middle and a small sub section of the cinq, they were inexperienced and pretty easy to take down, yet he still got pierced like 3 times, and they HURT which he was semi beating himself up inside about but anyway.
"Oh hello meursault, it's just been a really long week and I'm sure it's fi-" sinclair was quickly cut off before he could finish his sentence
"and I've noticed that it's been a steady decline since Don quixote was issued to inform you the news of the deal with nagel und hammer, and i've gathered that the deal must be why you are acting this way" Meursault concluded, seeing right through sinclair somehow, and even when he tried to defend himself against meursault's claims he still remained steadfast, so he admitted
"yeah alright i'll be honest, I'm just scared that something will go wrong during the deal y'know?" he didn't admit everything like how kromer had murdered his family and made him flee his hometown but meursault really didn't need to know, and he wasn't fully lying he was scared the deal could go south some way somehow, and it seems his fears were shared, somewhat
"You're fears are not unjustified, with the middle tattoos nearing the line between inhuman and human due to their strength enhancing properties they might take offense, but even if things do go south, the middle is strong even if it's just our division, and the fact that big brother heathcliff will be there, we will most likely be fine, but even if things go wrong to the worst degree, the middle never forgets sinclair, we all know that. But if you are experiencing heightened feeling of paranoia, you should visit big sister ryoshu"
and the first thought to sinclairs mind spills forth through his mouth" What?? no meursault I'm fine she doesn't need to know a-about this, plus she's always busy and she'll probably be busy for a while y'know?" he doesn't want or need ryoshu to know of any of this, she was the person to get sinclair in the middle, and taught him most of what he knows (the rest picked up from just being in the middle for a while)and she would definitely not stand for him being paranoid just for some deal, right?
"still, she would probably like to see you, you're always happier after you visit"meursault said with the same blank expression, would she really want to see him?
"but she's always super busy with being a big sister I'd just get in her wa-"
"Sinclair, respectfully i must interrupt, everytime you've asked big sister ryoshu for a visit or consultation she has pushed everything aside even if it was of utmost important to help you, and she has only done it for you specifically, it's the reason the catching of the thieves of big brother's missing ring went on for more then 2 weeks but we got it back all the same, so I encourage you, go visit her of your soonest convenience" and with that he was called over by another middle member, higher then sinclair's rank probably, to do something else, but sinclair just stirred in his own thoughts for a bit, did she really do that for him? he never realised, but that can wait he's currently covered in blood and smells like sweat.
So after a warm shower, his hair routine to make sure it maintains it's slight floof and is smooth to the touch, before actually tackling a problem he almost completely forgot about, the stab wound's, how he didn't notice them slightly bleeding in the shower was beyond him, but they were already slightly filling themselves with plasma to cover the wounds since they were pretty small stab's, but he would put on some bandage's just incase, and thus he ordered an driver, since he didn't trust w corp enough to go on a warp train, he knew the in's and out's of business practice, he father was prosthetic salesmen, he knew some things were way too good to be true and a 10 seconds train ride was definitely one of them, and thus he went on his way to the middle base ryoshu worked in, he forgot to call or even text before he got there but he was already in front of the door to the base so, surprise meeting i guess? this is going to go horribly he thought to himself. But might as well try?
