Chapter Text
As JJ and Miriana left for the night, only Sissal and Kyle were sitting on the floor now.
"C'mon let's get you ready for bed." She said holding her hand out for him to follow her the the bathroom.
Once in the bathroom she let him change himself into pyjamas, considering he swore up and down he could, and who was she to resist his puppy dog eyes?
"Ta daaaa" he giggled as she turned around.
"Oh Kylie." She shook her head "Let's fix this, no ?" And moved to make everything how it was supposed to be.
She honestly felt a sense of longing looking at him like that, it reminded her if her own kids, who sadly were in Denmark, she missed them a lot but atleast she had a kid here too.
She took his hand again "C'mon let's brush your teeth, then we can read a story and sleep?" He just nodded tiredly.
She handed him the toothbrush.
"You think you can do it yourself?" She asked.
"I'm a big boy." was all she got as he started messily brushing his teeth, she had to stifle a laugh, he was so cute like that.
After around two minutes of watching that all unfold she took matters into her own hands and started brushing his teeth. After she wiped his face down she offered her hand up again.
"Let's go to bed, hmm?" They walked together, when Kyle layed down she tucked him in and searched for his pacifier and a story book in his suitcase. Once found she layed next to him, cradling him by her side.
"Open up." She said popping the pacifier into his mouth.
"What could we read? Maybe Per, Pål og Espen Askeladd ?" Kyle nodded exited.
"Ok, once upon a time there was a poor man who had three sons, he always told them they should go and search for jobs, because if they would stay with him they all would only starve to death. So one day they heard about a kingdom near to them...." As she began telling the story she could already hear Kyle's breathing evening out, the stress and emotions if the day leaving his body.
She smiled down at him and put the storybook on the table next to her, she started caressing his head and hummed the soft tune of an lullaby.
She was happy he managed to open up to them today, and she had that growing feeling that nothing could break them apart now. That they would be friends forever.
And with that she also fell into a deep slumber, smile still plastered on her face.
