Chapter Text
Sanemis fingers weaved through giyuus hair, orchestrating the thick black strands. Each lock having a navy blue tint to them. Some short, some long. Some dead, some healthy. His hair flowed beneath the water, into tiny swirls. Sakura petals fell into the hot water, steam rising above. Giyuu let his head rest back ever so slightly, melting into sanemis touch. Sanely picked up the subtle body language.
“Just rest your head on my shoulder. I can braid your hair later.” He said, surprisingly calm.
“Actually?” Giyuu pondered.
“Yes, actually.” Sanemi rolled his eyes, confirming what he said.
Giyuu reluctantly let his head sink back to rest on Sandi’s shoulder. He was tough, with large muscles. So was Giyuu, but he wasn’t on sanemis level. He was more slim, with a hidden build. “…thank you.” He mumbled.
Sanemi nodded, not speaking.
“Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!” Sanemis mind bellowed. Was this a good idea? “He’s so close— his body’s so cold, mine is so warm, I’m so red right now, why did I agree to this I’m going…” he rambled to himself in his head. “Just calm down.” He took a few deep breaths, feeling himself ease more into the position.
He began to play with giyuus hair yet again, scratching his scalp and running his fingers through the strands. Neither of them spoke, comfortable with the silence brewing between them. It wasn’t defeating, constricting silence; it was the type of intimate silence that you enjoyed, the type of silence that was comforting.
“Shinazugawa.” Giyuu said.
“What now.”
“We have a meeting in 40 minutes.”
…
“And you thought to tell me that NOW. It takes like— an hour even with running to get to oyakata-samas estate!” Sanemi said angrily. He shoved giyuu off of him, but it didn’t have any rude intent— and Giyuu knew that.
Giyuu wrapped a towel around his waist, displaying the hypnotizing build that first lured sanemi in. Sanemi stayed out, staring akwardly, a flush rising to his cheeks.
“I think you’d rather get out and stop staring at me right now.” Giyuu sassily remarked, his sopping hair slapping his back as he quickly turned around.
“Y-yeah. Whatever, just shut up.” Sanemi tried to retort, but failed miserably.
Giyuu tried his best to seem calm and content, despite his inner thoughts. He was fawning over Shinazugawa in his head. An intrusive thought popped into his head, “I want him to DOMINATE me.” He thought, then quickly face palmed, embarrassed by the out of pocket thought.
“The fuck was that for?” Sanemi questioned him, tightening his belt.
“…it…nothing. Just continue dressing.” Giyuu said, rushing his words.
The two began running to oyakata-samas estate, already among peace with the fact they’d be late. Giyuu looked over to sanemi as the sun rose. It was 2AM when they met at the hot spring. It was around 5-7AM now. Every other hashira sat (Pretend this is before Rengoku does ☹️) infront of their master, ubuyashiki, and lady Amane.
“And that— ah, I sense movement. Perhaps two of my children have arrived. Am I correct?” Ubuyashiki said with a sense of tranquility, a calm smile playing on his face, as it always had.
Nobody spoke. All eyes were on giyuu and sanemi. The two quickly bowed apologetically and sat down.
Since nobody spoke, Shinobu took it upon herself to answer. “…yes, oyakata-Sama. The wind and water pillar have arrived.” She said quickly, the same smile on her face.
“Thank you, kocho.”
