“Wait, that’s the end?”
She ruffled the quills on the hoglet’s head. “Sure is. That good enough o’ a bedtime story fo’ ya, kid?”
“Yeah, Dada! Tomorrow can we….” She trails off and yawned sleepily, smacking her lips. “….do this again?”
She softly smiles and tucks the hoglet in. “Sure, Dee, whatever ya say.” She kissed her on the forehead and left quietly, shutting the door behind her.
Okay, so that’s the end of Sapphire and the Black Knight!
Honestly, I’m not fully happy with this one, including the way I wrote it and how short it is. I think the first person point of view with Sapphire/Sonic’s accent warping some of the words and phrases in here was a good start, and I definitely think I could improve on it.
The next one is definitely going to be a mix of Sonic Unleashed and, highly controversial, Sonic the Hedgehog [2006]. Hopefully the lore for it makes sense and I’m excited to introduce the new characters in there. If, at the start of chapter twelve, fans recognized the traveler that spoke to Sapphire, you’ve guessed one of the new characters in the next book.

Yup, so I’m doing SATBK now, what did ya expect?
Since the original Sonic and the Black Knight is the second part of the ‘Sonic Storybook Series’, I was inspired by the story part and so I framed it like our main character is telling the story to someone. If you know, you know.
Can you guess who Sir Galahad is? It’s her first appearance in this AU, btw ^^
Also, to clarify, most of this is told from Sapphire’s point of view like a story to somebody, so many words will be modified to fit the accent she has in my head and in the way I write her [and Sonic’s improved] dialogue in my stories.Characters:
