When the two arrive at Aous apartment in the center of the busy city Bangkok is, he opens the door quickly and falls on his couch, sprawling over it, all exhausted from all the dancing and vocal training of the day. Boom stands in the corner of Aous living room, almost awkwardly, even though he was there often. Something felt different and the air felt heaver as if something between them shifted. Aou noticing and not being able to bear the situation opens his arms widely, mumbling: “C’mere” in Booms direction. Boom grins at the bold move, stepping forward and embracing himself in his best friends arms. They stay like this for a while, comforted by each others presence and with many unspoken words and feelings laying between them. Eventually they fall asleep, Boom snuggled deeply in Aous arms, pressing his head into his chest and breathing his favorites scent in calmly.
After something between two and three hours they wake up, opening their eyes slowly to the sound of the alarm clock from Aous phone buzzing. Slowly falling back to reality after their nap Aou realizes the pose they’re in, his cheeks flushing at the sight of Boom still being buried in his chest, their legs tangled and his hand caressing the soft strands of Booms hair. With a slight smile curving his lips at the sight, he carefully taps Booms shoulder, who already fell back into an easy sleep, telling him “Jelly we gotta get up or we’ll be late to Santa’s party”. Boom, resisting a bit, still half asleep, complains a little and mumbles something about sleep being important but then gets off Aou. After that, now fully awake, he complains again “I don’t even got nice clothes for the party here, damn”, to which Aou pats his head, chuckling “Aw, I’m gonna lend you some clothes, ‘kay?” With that he got Booms full attention and the man genuinely can’t hide his smile anymore. The thought of wearing Aous comfortable and good smelling clothes, that are kinda loose on him, especially around his small waist, makes him go crazy and he can feel the heat flashing to his face and making him go red in seconds.
A few minutes later Boom walks out Aous bathroom wearing his friends clothes and having his makeup touched up. Aou melts at the sight of his beloved Jelly, and still half secret crush, in his clothing. Having to fully hold himself back from not pressing adoring kisses all over his body right at this moment. Of course, for the sake of their friendship, Aou manages to stay calm and goes to the bathroom himself, also fixing his eyeshadow, blush and well lipgloss.. you never know what the night brings right?
When he’s ready and steps out into his apartments hallway again, Boom is now the one stunned by the others beauty and quickly takes his hand, leading the way out the door to Aous car before he loses his patience, just confessing his love on the spot.
In the car they have a quiet and comfortable drive, listening to the soft sounds of the radio. Aou breaks the silence at some point, asking: “You excited too? It kinda feels like they planned something I don’t know”, to which Booms replies and laughs: “Oh god, I’d rather wish they didn’t, considering how childish these grown ass men can be sometimes. Still glad to have y’all as my friends tho, for real.” His eyes light up, thinking about their chaotic friend group and all the memories they created and the hardships they’ve overcome together. “Hm, me too”, Aou agrees, also caught up in nostalgic thoughts of their past adventures together with Joong, Dunk, Pond, Phuwin, Santa and occasionally also Perth since he is basically Santas accessory, following him everywhere, as his boyfriend anyway.
In the blink of an eye, Aou and Boom have reached the house of Santas family and judging by the noise coming from the backyard, PondPhuwin and JoongDunk have already arrived, filling the gardens air with laughter. Out of nowhere a slight glimpse of confidence to be more open about his feelings towards his friend and colleague hits Aou, probably with new hope gained from Boom sleeping in his arms so sweetly, so he gets out, jumping around the car to open the door for Boom. He lends him one hand, almost as if it was his wife. Boom chuckles, definitely not used to the princess treatment but enjoying it thoroughly. Well whatever that was from Aou, his lovesick mind wouldn’t forget it too soon. Aou, still confident, takes Booms hand and leads the way to Santas backyard, pulling the startled man behind him.
