Chapter Text
Shoto made it home to his kingdom the next day and went straight to his room to get ready for a stupid ball.
Ugh, good thing he doesn’t come to our events!
Shoto put black pants and a cropped dark red button-up on, plus his crown, shoes, and mask.
Let’s get this over with…
He walks into the ballroom, avoids the many women, and walks over to get a drink, but before he can make it, someone offers him a dance.
“You look beautiful, prince. May I have a dance?” the person asked.
“Fine…”
The person smiles and puts his hands on Shoto’s waist, holding him close.
They dance together for a few songs, then the person leans in to kiss Shoto — and he kisses back ‘cause he’s upset, and why not!!!
“You know, you and I can go up to your room for more privacy. There’s so many people out here,” the person says.
“Sure.”
Shoto didn’t sound too happy, but he led the guy to his room anyway.
“We aren’t doing anything weird. All I’m going to do is kiss you. That’s all I give consent for. You got it?” Shoto sounded moody.
“Sure, but take that mask of yours off. I wanna see your pretty face,” the person says.
“Sure…”
Shoto takes the mask off and pushes his hair out of his face.
He and the guy make out for a while, then Shoto gets annoyed.
“Take your mask off. It’s annoying me!” Shoto says, still clearly in a bad mood.
“Fine, but don’t be starstruck when you see my face,” Katsuki smirks.
“Just take it off so we can keep kissing, or I’ll rip it off myself,” Shoto looked emotionless but sounded moody.
“Okay, pretty boy.”
He kisses Shoto one last time and takes it off.
“Shall we continue?” Katsuki smiles, and Shoto’s face flushes. He instantly steps back.
“Wait, I thought you didn’t attend our events!?”
Shoto still sounded grumpy, but he also looked surprised.
“Well, once I found out who my soulmate was, I decided to drop by,” Katsuki looked down, feeling ashamed of his words earlier.
“I’m sorry I said those things. I really didn’t mean them…” He met Shoto’s eyes.
“I was trying to forget about today. Can I go back to my mindless make-out session with someone I don’t know?”
Shoto’s face just stayed the same but he could hear the hurt in his voice.
“No, we need to talk about this!” Katsuki says, stepping forward.
“Fine, talk then…” Shoto says, taking a seat on the bed.
“Right… I’m so sorry for everything I said. Again, I know apologies don’t take the effect of my words back, but I will try to make it up to you,” Katsuki says softly, sounding genuine.
“And?” Shoto asks.
“And I think you’re beautiful. I also have a crush on you…” Katsuki says, his face flushing.
“Apology accepted!”
Shoto springs up and hugs Katsuki.
“Oh, alright then. I didn’t expect you to accept it so quickly…” Katsuki hugs him back.
“Well, I guess I get over things quickly and I really wasn’t too upset…” Shoto stares at him.
“Can I kiss you?” Shoto asks.
“You don’t have to ask. That’s what we’ve been doing for the past 25 minutes,” Katsuki laughs and the two boys kiss.

(The next day)
The two boys were walking around the garden in the Flame Kingdom holding hands — well, more like Shoto got a fright and grabbed Katsuki’s hand, but same thing.
“So, when did you realise you had a crush on me?” Shoto asks.
“After you got out of that freezing water and pushed your hair out of your face…” Katsuki says, looking ashamed.
“Why though? I looked fucking ugly.”
Shoto’s face showed no emotion, which made the situation even more funny.
“You had this cute look on your face and I thought you looked adorable all wet,” Katsuki’s face flushes.
“I think I fell for you after you graciously ran me a bath,” Shoto says, smiling ever so slightly.
“Well, I was so shitty to you after that…” Katsuki still looked ashamed.
“Yeah, but you apologised. Well, you kissed me then you apologised,” Shoto stares at Katsuki, smiling a little wider.
“Yeah, I guess I did… I’ve never really apologised to anyone like that before,” Katsuki smiles too.
“Well, consider it the first of many!” Shoto says. “Hey, I love you…”
Katsuki kisses him. “I love you too.”
