Reader x Kuroko

it was a usual day or it was supposed to be atleast… the seirin members were practising in the gym but something seemed off… different, in a bad way. Well that’s how it would be after losing a member. Ever since Kagami left for America to pursue his dreams the others seemed to be a bit down.
However you tried to remain cheerful, as their manager you tried to bring things back to how it always was. You had been a manager for the team from the start of the formation of the basketball club so you knew quite a bit about everyone now and got along aswell. But no matter what you tried there would always be one person who would be majorly affected by Kagamis transfer. That would be Kuroko.
When Kuroko left the airport after seeing Kagami off you all could tell how devastated he was. Something about in him mightve snapped…
It took you a while before you noticed that he didn’t show up for practice today which was weird because he was really passionate about basketball and would never skip practice, you just assumed that you probably didn’t see him and that he was somewhere around. It wasn’t later until Riko pointed it out, “That’s weird, I haven’t seen Kuroko today at all today? Did he say something about not showing up?… (y/n), can you go look for him?”
So there you were searching around the school campus looking for Kuroko, you could’ve sworn you saw him this morning so where’d he go?.. Eventually when you reached the rooftop to look for him you found familiar looking blue hair peeking, you saw Kuroko standing on the edge of the roof he was dangerously leaning over the railing. You noticed #2 was there too pulling Kurokos pants using his teeth.
You approached him slowly grabbing his collar and pulling him back from the railing slightly, “Kuroko… you okay? You didn’t show up at practice today…” you asked with a concerned expression, you noticed that his blue eyes which usually sparkled especially when he played basketball, they seemed to be dull now. “I’m sorry (y/n)…” Kuroko teared up, his eyes welling up with water as he looked down, he couldn’t look at you not in the state he was in.
“Hey, it’s okay you can tell me, im here for you.” You comforted him immediately as you noticed tears dropping. “Firstly let’s not stand on the edge of the roof..” you grabbed him by the hand gently pulling him back as the both of you sat on a bench nearby on the rooftop, #2 followed most likely concerned for Kuroko as he sat on his lap.
Kuroko leaned forward covering his eyes with his hands almost as if he was ashamed of his tears. You placed a hand on his back patting him slowly, "So.. What happened? Though I don't think you need to tell me, I feel like I already know.."
He sighed looking up at you with teary eyes "Everything seems different... Ever since Kagami left. Honestly. I'm scared and I feel like no one cares either, I don't think I've ever hated my lack of presence this much before. I don't know if it's just because Kagami's not here anymore, but I do know I feel ignored." He said while sniffling, your heart clenched seeing him in such a sight, you felt immense sympathy for him.
He paused and sighed again looking away from you, "so.. I was thinking what if... What if I weren't there? What if I never was here would anything had changed? Would anyone be affected?" You looked at him surprised and concern etched on your face. "You're being ridiculous Kuroko! Of course someone would be affected! I'd be affected!" You said a bit too loud
"I mean.." you cleared your throat looking away aswell "It's just not me Kuroko... It's #2 aswell and the rest of our team... Do you know how worried the others are? You love basketball! And you're a good player too! I think Kagami would want you to keep playing too, we should call him later don't you think?"
You leaned in wrapping your arms around him tightly. "So don't give up.. if not for yourself then for us. We love you, I love you Kuroko. So please don't ever think otherwise... We don't ignore you matter to us alot" Kuroko stayed silent not knowing how to process your words, he was confused, lost. But your warmth gave him some courage.
He leaned in aswell slowly returning your hug. "I'm sorry.." he mumbled holding you tight as tears kept flowing down his eyes he slightly trembled. #2 licked Kurokos face comfortingly “Let’s go back now, shall we?” You said as you got up from the bench and offered your hand to help him. He wiped away his tears with his fist.
He held your hand as the both of you returned back to the gym. The both of you entered and it took a while for everyone to realise Kuroko was there right behind you but as soon as they did they immediately approached him. Starting with Koganei who jumped at him.
"Hey Kuroko there you are! Where were you the whole time?" He asked in his usual playful tone but seemed concerned aswell. The others surrounded him too Teppei spoke up, "Yeah it's not like you to skip practice on purpose after all!"
Kuroko smiled slightly he finally remembered, it wasn't only Kagami who was on his team but the others too. He felt grateful, he couldn't ask for more. "What are you all talking about? I was here the whole time.." he said then looked over at you with his glimmering eyes.
"Right (y/n)?"
