Melia is the younger sister of Evander and a member of Lasseire Law. She is a defense assistant who works with Hiro, Evander, and Sumire over the course of the story. At the end of the story, Melia is revealed to truly be Aika Nakamura, a girl thought dead for many years.

During the final case, Clara sends her guards out to find Satsujin, but they fail, and he gets away with the crime.

This trial led to Ray’s true killer, Roger Clear, being arrested and exposed for his crimes on the day of the murder.

This is later revealed to be because he has a blood connection with the killer and was hoping to escape the truth of his past coming to light.

Evander acts as Leo’s adoptive father, but he hides his true identity from all save for his sister. In truth, he is Minato Nakamura, a lawyer believed to have died years ago.

When Shigeru noticed Marika’s odd behavior after the exchange trip, he tried to get to the bottom of it only to end up killed by her in a moment of horror and dread at what he had uncovered.

Iemasa eventually started stealing files to help aid his own investigation, and upon being caught, he led Evander and Hiro to his research with the hope that they would finish the case on his behalf.

This creates a rift between her and Sumire, and when they are the only two left of their law office, they ultimately decide to go their separate ways to cope with the grief of their agency’s downfall.

After the case ends and the exchange concludes, Yuto returns to the rest of his work as a detective as Hiro and Evander go back to London.

After giving them the order, he retreats from the forefront of attention, opting to leave the rest of the trial to Constance’s chosen lawyers.

Over the course of the case, it becomes clear that Matilda is trying to protect Valentina from some unexplained outside danger.

Gilbert testifies in the courtroom alongside Ezekiel, and the two have a bond due to being convicted by the same person.

Instead, he was murdered in the storage room by the rogue Satsujin Aoki, and his body was set up to frame Evander for the murder.

Seren is particularly close with Verity out of every member of the family, and he offers to take her to the school to hear Evander’s lecture. As a result, he ends up witness to the murder of Quenn Roban.

Minato’s mother and father were both involved with the case as the judge and prosecutor respectively, and all of them were thought to have died in mass homicide. In truth, Minato survived and is now known as Evander Lasseire.
