After talking to their own SOUL, Kris was curious... It did show some things that they weren't supposed to see, such as Noelle and Susie's ride at the cyber world, but it also seemed to be really aware of itself and not pushing boundaries.
For exemple, it pulled itself out when Kris was showering, or changing, of course Kris couldn't tell which way it was looking... But it was most of the time hiding? It was a part of himself that still gave them privacy... More than that, They were curious about some reaction than it grew into them against their will, sometimes looking at people, like a weird happy and excited feeling when they gave out Tenna to that ghost man... What was his name again? Met-something?
Or even grew mad at asgore when they saw that weird display at the skeletton's groceries store... Kris had to admir that it was patetic, but it shouldn't be making them so mad... Maybe they could ask the SOUL when it would speak to them again, and not speak through them? It did also called both of their parent by their "title"... As if it actually considered them as its parent..? Before this talk it never occured to them, but it was weird right? Even thought they grew up as one, it sometimes seemed like it didn't even know anything before it took control of their body, and this wasn't so long ago... If it had their talent, it could play the piano but it sure couldn't do that well, either, contrary to kris.
"I miss dad..." That thought came into their mind, but it wasn't their... Did the soul want to see asgore? Well, it had been quite a while since they've talked, maybe they could share a bit of how he's been holding up since the divorce? They both know it wasn't THAT well, but it should be alright, they were sure of it.

Oh boy they were wrong... When they came to asgore's, the store was alright, flowers everywhere, after all their dad loved Gardening, and it showed... But upstairs ? It was a mess, even thought asgore told them to make themself confortable, how could they? The appartement was trashy, with papers everywhere, no sofa to sit, just asgore's single bed, and it was taken by asgore, the biggest part of the room was for the flowers, of course those were beautifull but... There was just 6 flowers on a table? And no chairs?
"-sorry, it's not much... I hoped to see you, Kris, you know ?
-oh? Did you want to talk about something or just want to give mom flowers again?"
That line was cold but it was Kris themself that said it... The soul didn't even had time to say anything before.
"-oh... I suppose... I shouldn't be asking you so much about those commissions... I just wish she could still feel how she had felt before..."
Their fist clenching, Kris looked down. They didn't want to hear their dad vent about his divorce! Who would want to hear that?
"But... I just wanted to see how you were doing... We don't talk much often, how is school? Did you made friend?
-oh... I have made a new Friend... Susie, "the troublemaker"
-Ah? I am glad that you made friends with her, but are just Friend ? You do seem closer than this."
Of course, it could look closer than that, after aii, living adventures where they both could've (and once or twice did) die was putting people closer. But this wasn't the case here, and this was clear for both sides of it

-oh come on, really? You're gonna start talking about that?
-alright alright... Just... He sighed, his big shouders usually up and proud now more like an ashamed little worm ...i just wish it could back to like we were befo-"
A loud thud emerged from the shock. It was Kris... Or well, the SOUL in kris' body who slapped asgore, right across the face.
"FOR FUCK'S SAKE GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF DAD! IN ANOTHER WORLD YOU WERE A KING, WHO COULD HIDE HIS PAIN AND GO ON, CAN'T YOU DO IT HERE? MOVE ON, IT'S OVER!"
It was the human's voice. Usually so calm and chill, the soul filled it with rage and Blurted those words without thinking... But it also was a shock to Asgore... They were right! Toriel is gone, it's over... Of course they wouldn't be able to move on just like that but mourning won't help... They would have to try to move on. Asgore didn't understand the King part but most of the message was loud and clear. Mostly loud, since anyone around the shop could hear it.
"You're right, kris... I'm sorry, plus i have you two, azzy and you are my children and i shouldn't be acting this way, especially around you. I'll clean up my mess, do it all right and THEN we're gonna have to spend time together all three of us!"
Kris, first horrified by when they slapped and screamed at their father, feeled now... Relief? They wouldn't have been so direct, and they didn't understand post of what the SOUL said either, but... At least now asgore is gonna get himself together and that was the most important...
"-anyway, since we're on the topics of romances... Maybe is there someone you have a crush on? Noelle, maybe?
- please. i'm not her style in any way, and she's far from being mine"
It was true, after all noelle wasn't blue, had no beak and no lisp
"-oh? I don't know, from how Carole spoke of you, i assumed, but i suppose it is fair how about she is... Maybe she, how do you young tells... "Ship" you two ?
-where did you learn this ?
-your teacher showed me some of you young people's animes... And talked to me about what are ships, and such
-...nope, i'm out"
Kris, walking down the stairs to go back, felt awkward about learning that their own dad knew what was a ship... Alphys, why were you talking about this to their DAD !?

Outside of asgore's shop, after a loud scream was heard, there was a curious bunch of people, even thought no one dared to ask, and in this curious people was a little Lady... Her Red nose, her antlers and blond hair, it was all those little things that made Noelle holiday who she was, as much as how she acted...
After her passage through the Dark world, she had grown into a more affirmed personallity, not letting herself being walked on so much... Well, not by everyone. She was going to the hospital to see her father, when she wandered off for a bit and wanted to maybe get him flowers, now seemed to not be the right time, though... So she walked back and went to the hospital empty handed
"-hey, Noelle! How are you doing today, is everything fine?"
Rudy was the same as usual, gentle and nice to his daughter, and noelle was here mostly so that she wouldn't be alone today... She wanted to invite Susie over and play Dragon Blazer together, but she wouldn't Dare to ask her, even after her dream and the time passed together... In her dream. Last time was bad enough and she didn't want to have another time being caught by Carol, and being insulted over and over again.
Rudy and noelle spoke for a while, mostly about how she was worried about him, and him telling that she didn't have to worry for he will be out of here in a few days at most. After a while, rudy was curious and so he asked
"-so... How have things been going with susie? Did you ask her out yet?
-daaaad come on, i can't just ask her out of nowhere, she'd kill me...
-i've met her a few times, she seems like a good girl, you have good tastes, a bit of a tomboy maybe but eh, you like what you like"
Blushing, the younger Reindeer just stared at her father, was he making fun of her or being supportive? Probably both, but it was not bad... At least with dad she could talk about her crush, nothing bad would come out of it, unlike if she tried talking to Carol... Noelle's mom was kind of an ass, even though she would never say it, after all she was maybe the only woman in town to still refer to Kris as "Him".
After mostly talking about how it was at home, and rudy playing around and teasing his daughter with jokes about her crush, as much as stories on how her parents met and were, before they came back in hometown, they hugged each other and noelle went out, in front of the hospital, she met Kris who was being followed around by a Big tall... Impressive... Pretty... Wait was she drooling? Anyway... After putting herself together, she joined them
"-hi kris, hi susie, how're you?
-good.
-i'm fine, bored as hell tho, Kris seemed pissed earlier and i'l tryna cheer them up!
-...not pissed said the monotone voice of the human, just tired
-yeah sure, you're not pissed and i have tons of friends, c'mon pal don't play around like that
-well... Susie, maybe kris want to be left alone for a while? If you're trying to push it it won't work..."
She was right, kris wanted some alone time, mostly to talk to the SOUL about what they meant to asgore, but as they were gonna say that they wanted to be left alone, it seems that it started that way... Susie was apologizing, which was still a strange view and she walked away, while Noelle was following her.. eh, good for them.
As the Human stafted walking away, they felt... Weird? Maybe they didn't want to be entirely alone but they couldn't really say that now that everyone was gone could they? So, an idea came over through the SOUL's mind... What if they went to ask Berdly to come over? Play a bit of Super Smashing Fighters, at home? Well, seems like the SOUL didn't want to talk to kris now either sonit probably was the best option anyway...

Inside of the library, a nerdy bird was putting back some books left by kids... Or judging by the content of some, it might've been alphys, seriously, who reads "my crush turned into my plant and now i want to kiss it's chlorophylle"? Anyway, as the sound of the door opening came through Berdly's ears, he turned around to see Kris
"-Ah, kris! Did you come here to study, maybe try to get something else than a C at your project with susie? I personally have almost finished up my parts with Noelle's, even with the time that we have, i have a feeling that we're have an A+ when we-
-You. Me. My house, smashing fighters after your shift."
Quick and yet so easy to get, straight to the point, berdly was kind of surprised, after all they didn't play together in a long time... But he was all up for it!
"-alright my deer kris, i'll beat you and show you that I am the number one in all kind of games !
-When do you finish for today anyway?
-oh... Give me 10 minutes, just gotta turn everything off before going, but my shift is over now anyway"
Ten minutes huh? Did the SOUL know or was it just pure luck that berdly finished a bit earlier today? In reality it was none, it was just berdly who, as much as he liked his job, wanted to play games and have fun. After a short wait, the duo went straight to Kris' home, it was empty, Toriel wasn't here.
"-So, which character will you play this time, huh Kris?"
Without a word, in response, kris went straight to their room, pulling out the old console and putting it up on Tenna's ports. The SOUL asked itself something that was dumb enough to make Kris smile, through his usual neutral face... And berdly noticed it pretty fast, was he looking at them so hard to notice a simple smirk? Oh boy... That flustered the Human a bit but since Berdly didn't really react, maybe it was their imagination...
"My falcon is gonna wreck you u- HEY WHY DO I HAVE THE SHITTY CONTROLLER?"
Kris was tempted to answer "to match your level but it certainly not time for that kind of trashtalk yet.
"-it's because you're sooo good i have to make it match, otherwise you'd be unstoppable.
-ah, that's right kris, i suppose i should have thought of that, i am the best and it's only fair that you get an advantage to try to best me HEY don't you dare start the game without telling me! Oh you're ON!"
