“—i love you,” were the words that mizuki wanted to get out so badly, but were ruined by that petal. finally getting it out felt wonderful, she felt at peace for once. no more silence, just words that meant to flow out since the day the two met.
“i love you too, mizuki.” was the only way rui knew how to respond, their lack of words for these years has hindered their ability to communicate properly.
the love between the two of them felt special, the bittersweet feeling along with the cherry blossom petals, how beautiful. nothing like this could ever be seen on the rooftop at kamiyama.
nothing like this could ever be seen at either of their houses, nothing like this could ever be seen at the middle school the two went to, the feelings there weren’t enough.
the emotions that mizuki and rui felt around anyone else, except their special people, didn’t satisfy, their love was only meant for between each other.
