• Trent's phone background is a picture of Clay on Brock's hip that was taken at a team barbecue
• Brock's phone background is a picture of all three of them with Cerb, Pepper and Apollo
• Ash never really brought Clay to team events, and Clay is generally on the quiet side so it took a long time for him to feel comfortable playing with the other kids. To encourage it, Brock would try to arrange time every few days for Jameelah and Clay to spend time together in the park or something, because they're around the same age
• Ash couldn't stand when Clay cried, so he learnt to cry silently or not at all, so when he got hurt for first time with Trent and Brock, they're hearts shattered not just because of the blood dripping from the cut that needed stitches, but also because of how hard Clay was trying to keep himself quiet and not cry
• There's a picture of Sonny holding a sleeping Clay deep in Lisa's phone
• Blackburn is grandpa and will hold Clay in his lap and tell him (modified for appropriateness) stories
• Clay once got very very sick (like in the hospital) when Trent was deployed, and at some point they just sent him home because he could not be there, his heartbreaking over having to see his child fight from so far
• Clay had a hard time with new people, so when it came to babysitters, they knew it would probably be best to have Emma, so they specifically had Clay spend time with her at team events, after making sure she would be okay with that
