They continued to cuddle and hold eachother close, just staying that way until Melonpanna just remembered one more thing, she wanted to give this to Kana earlier, although she almost forgot about it until now
"Ah, before I go, There's one more thing I want to give to you, I've been wanting to give it to you for a while." Kana would sit back up, "One more?" "Yeah, I wanted to give it on this very day.." Melonpanna would go back in her bag, taking out the necklace, but her hand was balled into a fist so Kana wouldn't peek at it, "I hope you'll like this too!" Kana raised an eyebrow, Melonpanna would open her hand to reveal the shiny, pretty necklace, Kana felt herself getting all giddy again, "A-Ah! It's so beautiful!.. you've went all your way to do all of this for me?.." "mh!", Kana gently takes the jewellery from her palm, she kneeled her head down for a moment while she puts on the necklace
Once she finally got it on, she was amazed by how much it fitted her so well, "Wow...you know me so well dear..thank you!" She played with her new necklace, still having that giddy feeling in her heart and having a huge smile on her "and it fits me so well!", Melonpanna couldn't help but adore how happy Kana was, this was something she always wanted for her, "aw..thank you again!"
She notices the sky starting to fade into a golden shade, meaning that the sun was about to settle soon, "Ah.. already?" Melonpanna frowned, it felt like everything that happened was just a few minutes ago, and already the sun was already setting down, "Don't worry, we can have another date next week!" Kana reassured her with simple head rubs, easing the tension Melonpanna was holding up "Oh wait! You're right! There's gonna be another holiday next week, so I'll let you choose where we could go!" She replied back and lets Kana continue to pet her head, "Hmm...What about this cafe I like? I already found a new favourite and I'd love if we could check it out together!"
As they talked about where they wanted to go next week, they heard a familiar voice above them "Melonpanna-chan!" Anpanman called out to her, "It's getting late, Creampanda and Uncle Jam have been looking for you!", "IM HERE! I'LL BE THERE IN A SECOND!!" she called back, lifting herself up from the log and holding Kana's hand to help her stand up, "I'll be going home now, but Anpanman will help you back home, I'm sure of it!" "I figured." Kana replied, "But as always...I love you dear!" Melonpanna gave her another Eskimo kiss, "I love you too.. I'll see you tomorrow sweetie."
Anpanman would land on the spot, lending a helping hand at Kana as the two take her back home, before Kana would get back inside, she wanted to greet Melonpanna one last time, "Goodnight love", "Goodnight dear", they waved one another goodbye as they both went home respectively.
Once Anpanman and Melonpanna went home, Uncle Jam greeted them with a warm welcome, "Hello Anpanman and Melonpanna." He had a hearty smile on his face, just ready to end his job for the day, "So, Melonpanna, how was your time with Kana?" He asked, sitting down on his chair and inviting the two to come and talk with him for a little while, Melonpanna caught herself blushing over the question, remembering the events that happened earlier, "It was great! I'm really happy we could spend time together, it was so much fun!" She answered, "Well I'm glad to know that, you seem to like spending time with her don't you?" Melonpanna nodded quickly, Uncle Jam would soon turn his attention to Anpanman "What about you Anpanman, how's your day?" They went on to talk about his day of patrolling the city all-day long, while Melonpanna could still feel the same butterflies in her stomach as she had from earlier.
She'd stand up and go upstairs, taking the crumpled ball of paper in her bag, staring at it for an awful long time.."Have you ever thought about..kissing?", that phrase from Kana alone echoed through the back of her head, was it real? Did everything they did actually happened? And did she really loved her little gestures of love? Whatever it could be, Melonpanna taps her head so she doesn't get too deep into thinking about it as she'd shoot the paper straight into the bin and flopped down her bed, releasing all of the tension she's been holding up for a while
"...Kana-chan, thank you." Her face pressed down on the sheets, muffling her words, she'd turn to face the ceiling and stare into it for a while, "I hope tommorow will be even better." She whispered quietly to herself.
