Mk hanging out with mei per the usual when mei suggested something he couldn’t resist.
“Mk…what if we pranked redboy…” she grinned at mk who nodded.
“But how exactly half the time he knows when we’re scheming something and the other half he figures it out just before we do it!” Mk looked at her.
“Hmm…let’s add a hint of truth!”
“Hint of truth?”
“Yeah!”
“…”
“Question is what would be the truth mei.”
Mei thought about ideas most she knew Redson would see right through and others that she knew wouldnt work out well when they executed it.
“I got nothing what about you mk?”
Mk thought his kaiju training was going greatly but he still had too much to learn to be considered in control of it.
“Something to do with my kaiju form perhaps?”
Mei’s eyes widened then shined!
“GENIUS!” She exclaimed in excitement “let’s use the kaiju form to force him to hang out with us!”
“Is that a prank though I mean that’s more like a date-“
“BOTH!” She grinned “he doesn’t usually want to hang out with the hyperactive duo so we’ll prank our way into making him.”
“Like I said that’s- okay whatever.” Mk shrugged mei was right about a lot of things anyway maybe this’ll work. After the kaiju outburst last time Redson had been avoiding them.
“Quick question…do you know why Redson has been avoiding us recently?”
Mei went quiet before saying in a tone that didn’t really sound like her
“NOPE!” She was fidgeting with her hands unlike her usual behavior.
“…your lying?”
“Nonono mk it’s not that it’s just that we need to prank redboy now and we should do it!”
“Oh…ok!” Mk didn’t really believe her
Macaque did tell him about how to activate the kaiju form by will. (last chapter obvs) so he activated it.
Mei smiled at him “looking great mk!”
Mk nodded as they headed off to the demon king fortress.
They arrived there but was informed Redson wasn’t there Infact he had just left before they came.
Mk went back to his normal form no point in beings kaiju if he’s not even there!
“Where did he go then?” Mei asked as the bull king servant scoffed
“I’d rather not tell as that isn’t my call to make.”
“He went to look for you two.” The demon bull king intersected. “Something about sorting some misunderstandings.”
Mei looked down as mk was confused what misunderstanding?
“I feel like I’m missing crucial context?”
“I’ll tell you on the way to metropolis mk!”
That’s when mei revealed why Redson was avoiding them he felt bad that when he had just turned into a kaiju Redson couldn’t even be there until nearly the end he felt guilty about the fact that he should’ve been there stuff along those lines.
“I didn’t know he felt that way…”
“I didn’t want to show you because of that I knew it wasn’t too big of a deal and I did tell him you’d forgive him but he didn’t think that was enough or something.”
They made it to metropolis where they saw Redson walking out of pigsy’s looking defeated.
“Not there! What do you mean not there!”
Redson was mumbling to himself. So Mei approached him. “Redboy!”
“Not now dragon girl.”
Mk realised this would be the perfect opportunity to execute the plan him and mei came up with prank Redson to hang out using the kaiju form…somehow?
He went to his kaiju form Redson still hadn’t noticed mk is confused to how mei was too blind as a bat.
Then mk grabbed Redson.
“WHAT THE- NOODLE BOY?!”
Mk grinned but Redson looked not scared but more or less guilty.
“Noodle boy…ah screw that mk…I am so sorry that I couldn’t be there when-“
Mk transformed back and hugged Redson
“No need for that mei filled me in and don’t worry I forgive you because there was no need to feel guilty at all!” Mk smiled.
Redson looked like he was about to cry or something very out of character for someone like him.
“You both are idiots…”
Mk and mei looked at eachother then yelled
“WE ARE YOUR IDIOTS!” They grinned as Redson just turned red.
“Now the redson is truly the red…son!” Mk grinned
Mei laughed when redson just shook his head.
“That was a stupid joke.”
“Nuh-uh!” Mk laughed.
The rest of the day consisted of mei and mk trying to figure out how to prank Redson properly as they hung out with him nothing worked and as they waved goodbye when he left they were crushed.
“We couldn’t come up with anything!” Mei sighed
“Well mei I think that’s enough pranking today clearly nothing works.”
Mei paused then grinned
“I’m going to hack the bull bots.”
Mk and mei both agreed that was the best prank.
