After closing the Dark Fountains, Asriel is immediately back at the Light World. So is Pizzapants and Opioidpants, but their aunt and parents still take a second to wake up.
(Pants)- Opioidpants, how are you feeling? Is the pain kicking in.
(OPants)- ~I am…~ - He holds his lips and holds his belly. - ~Fiiiine. Yeah…~
He starts falling, but Pizzapants catch him.
(Pants)- C’mon, you don’t need to lie about your pain to me.
Opioidpants is moaning in pain. But hearing his brother give him just enough energy to force a smile.
(OPants)- ~Yeah. (argh) I’m, (huff) happy, that you (wheeze) still care for me.~
Pizzapants smiles and wraps Opioidpants arm around his neck and shoulder.
Now all the other members wake up.
(Mars)- Uuugh… What happened?
(Sean)- I think I spent too much time at the casino last night…
(Mars)- (Yaws) What did you say Sean?
The husband fills his cup again.
(Sean)- Lemonade.
(Mars)- Man, our son talking about dancing gets us tired, doesn’t it…
Opioidpants turns and tell them;
(OPants)- ~Don’t worry, (gah) about it. It’s nothing you two have to worry about.~
(Mars)- But, your health son. I can’t just let you keep on like this…
(Cheat)- It’s fine sister.
Mars looks at Cheat.
(Cheat)- I will give him a try. We will see what will come from this, but I will have my eye on him.
(Mars)- Aaaah. If you are gonna watch over then I’m okay with it.
It’s weird, even though they still haven’t finished eating the beef they are not hungry anymore. Except for Cheat who was never hungry and Sean who is always hungry.
(Mars)- I think it would be better if we finished the dinner… Everyone here got to meet and I feel much more informed.
(Cheat)- It was a great dinner sis.
(Mars)- Of course it was. - She lays her back against the chair, proudly.
She turns at her sons and Asriel.
(Mars)- Do you boys want to stay in for the night? We have the old beds and the sofa.
(Pants)- NO! I mean, I have work tomorrow.
Opioidpants takes his arm off his brother, tries to spin but stops midway due to the pain, simply turning on the way back.
(OPants)- ~Just nope!~ - He breathes a bit faster after.
(Azzy)- I have studies to do…
(Mars)- Whatever. Just don’t forget to take your stuff. And you sister?
(Cheat)- I will be going too. I feel like I will be needed…
Well, the car is in pieces. At least the other drivers simply snoozing and nobody was hurt.
(Cheat)- Strange. All that time we spent in that world, but the clock barely moved…
(Pants)- Time passes differently there.
(OPants)- ~But still. We shouldn’t stay here. Someone definitely saw the darkness, and if they relate us to that we might get stopped by the police.~
Cheat takes a cigarette.
(OPants)- ~Aunt!~
(Cheat)- What? To alleviate. Actually, don’t do as I do.
(OPants)- ~Wathever… I will go back home.~
Cheat quickly hugs Opioidpants. He hugs her back. When they stop, the cool guy notices some money in his hand.
(Cheat)- I know you are needing it.
(OPants)- ~This time I won’t spend it on opioids, I promise! In fact, I will just drop the name.~
(Pants)- You want to go with Coolpants?
(OPants?)- ~You remembered it?~
(Pants)- Sure, Coolpants.
Coolpants wipes a tear off.
(Coolpants)- ~You two love birds try not to get bored without me.~
(Azzy)- Take care.
(Pants)- You too bro.
Asriel waves his entire arm upwards with a tender smile, Pizzapants does a tired smile while just waving his hand. Coolpants smile.
(Coolpants)- ~Thanks guys. Take care too aunt.~
(Cheat)- You won’t need a place to hit the hay?
(Coolpants)- ~I can convince my chick to get it today. At least I will get the couch.~
(Cheat)- Hehe, learned from the best.
He does a small concerned laugh. And with that, he gets up his scooter and drives to the direction of the full moon.
(Cheat)- C’mon you two. Get in my car.
(Pants)- But-
(Cheat)- Wanna run?
(Pants)- …No.
Now Cheat is driving the cute couple back to Pizzapants’ apartment.
(Cheat)- So, family eh Asriel Dreemur?
(Azzy)- Yeah…
Somehow, even after the near death experience, Pizzapants still sweat seeing his aunt and boyfriend talk.
(Azzy)- Are you sure you are feeling well?
(Cheat)- Don’t overstress it. I’m feeling well enough to manage my anxiety and drive you two back home. Now I’m just worried about Opi- I mean Coolpants disappearing for months again. Or until the money ends.
(Pants)- Please, after today he’s gonna try some dance class and wanna show off.
(Cheat)- Haha, we will see.
Asriel notices this is finally an opportunity to have a normal family conversation.
(Azzy)- So… Uh… - Azzy doesn’t even know what to ask anymore. Cheat notices he is curious.
(Cheat)- My younger sister didn’t know how to balance things out with her children, nor Sean for that matter. So I used to help them take care of the boys, and then I started letting them stay at my place, and before I knew it I became their guardian.
Pizzapants look a little distressed hearing this.
(Cheat)- I don’t hate her.
(Pants)- But they aren’t fair with you!
(Cheat)- Yeah…
A vacuum of sound surrounds them.
(Azzy)- I see…
(Cheat)- Hey buddy, don’t get all gloomy and doomy. At least not in my car, I use it to get chicks. - She makes a sad face. - Or at least I used to. Back in the day.
(Azzy)- Oh, I know. Have lots of experience with driving around to get “chicks” and that “We need to get confident, that’s what attractive people are looking for!”.
Azzy looks at Pizzapants with a smile, holding some judgement. Pizzapants smile awkwardly.
(Cheat)- HAHAHA. My boy right there. Although I would say to never talk with attractive people! But it seems my boy did and won. Interesting.
She looks at the side, trying to resist the urge to talk about things she shouldn’t.
(Cheat)- You know, I was married four times! - Too late.
(Pants)- I thought it was three.
(Cheat)- One of them was before you and your brother were born. Anyway, the first chick I married after I got drunk when I was twenty-one and married at the bar. It was a mess. It only lasted a week. Never confess to somebody while drunk!
Pizzapants sweats.
(Cheat)- The second one was a single mother from the school my boys used to go to, before the Hometown one, Lesson? Be careful with what your partner's child likes and dislikes.
(Dad would agree with that…) Azzy says internally.
(Cheat)- The third one I used a dating app, thought getting a helping hand would be nice, but I had to go for the attractive one. Hence lesson three, never talk with attractive people. Although my boy proved me wrong. Hmph. Well, and the fourth one don’t matter…
Cheat looks sad.
(Pants)- It wasn’t your fault. You didn’t want to get an anxiety attack.
(Cheat)- Yeah, but I still have to deal with that…
Asriel looks at Pizzapants, then the divorced woman, and feels he needs to help somehow.
(Azzy)- Well, I’m happy to have met you. I mean, the way you avoided my attack was impressive! And since you took care of Pizzapants and Opioidpants I think, no, I know you did great things.
(Pants)- Avoided what?
(Cheat)- Heh. You think I’m doing something good? Oh my, you are so sweet.
(Pants)- I know! This is why I love him.
Pizzapants hold Azzy’s hand. The fluffy prince smiles.
(Cheat)- Well, we reached your place boy.
(Pants)- Ah! Well, huh, I see.
Asriel sees Pizzapants is hesitating.
They all leave the car and stay outside the building. Cheat takes a cigarette box and pulls one.
(Pants)- Got back into smoking?
(Cheat)- It’s only for emergencies.
(Pants)- Uh huh.
Pizzapants take a cigarette and light it up. She is a little concerned about letting him smoke, but she considers him an adult, so she lets him take it. Asriel fills his cheek with air, making Pizzapants consider throwing the cigarette away, but Azzy thinks a little more about how the two are connecting with this and decides to take one too.
(Pants)- My Prince, you can’t just start like this.
(Azzy)- What? I’m an adult too!
The Prince puts it in his mouth but immediately spits it.
(Azzy)- AAAAH! THIS FEELS TERRIBLE! (coughs)
(Pants)- Hahahahaha!
(Cheat)- Hahaha! Good Asriel Dreemur, we don’t need more people using substances in this family.
The two feel a little more calm laughing at Asriel’s misery. When Azzy gets up he hits his boyfriend with his shoulder. Pizzapants interpret it, being “Just tell her!”.
(Pants)- I’m happy to, you know, reunite with you today.
Cheat closes her eyes, following by opening them with a happy face. She takes the keys of the car and puts at Pizzapants hand.
(Cheat)- Take it. You need it.
(Pants)- WHAT? No! I won’t take yours! You also need it, genius, so don’t act stupid on me!
Cheat hugs Pizzapants.
(Cheat)- I did a bunch of stupid things all right. And for the longest time I thought it didn’t matter because there’s nothing I can do being me. But now I realize what I always knew, that I care for you and your brother. More than I can say. So don’t say it’s stupid for me to help you or your brother.
Pizzapants cry.
(Pants)- But… You are far away from home.
(Cheat)- Nah. I’m feeling well. I can do it.
The two hug a bit more strongly and then slowly leave each other's arms. Pizzapants’ aunt says to her niece’s boyfriend.
(Cheat)- Take care of this guy all right? When he believes in something he believes in it full force and needs someone to give him some help.
(Azzy)- Of course! Always!
Cheat waves her hand at the boys and touches the ground in a running position. And, at a instant, full speed sprint.
(Azzy)- Woah!!!
Usually she would avoid running nowadays. But today she wants to feel the euphoria.
(Cheat)- I’m happy thanks to my boys…
Pizzapants think about everything that happened. What was this all about? His brother will still get hurt, so will his aunt. His parents stayed the same. He wants to vomit and not think about it.
(Azzy)- Pineapple?
Pizzapants think about all of this.
(Pants)- You know, you said to me you wanted to visit this new restaurant? How about we go now?
(Azzy)- Dear, aren’t you tired? You are always the first in favor of just laying down on the sofa watching the TV.
Pizzapants grabs Asriel’s hand.
(Pants)- You went on this little adventure for me. Let me do one for you.
(Azzy)- Pineapple, I asked to go-
Pizzapants kisses Asriel forehead.
(Pants)- But you always do so much to me. I can choose anything good you did to me as an excuse.
(Azzy)- You… Fine! You dirty, handsome guy! - He says smiling.
And the two walk away. To do whatever they want.
