You slowly stack the books on their rightful shelves while humming to a song that your ears picked up on your way to work.
Honestly you were glad to be back with what you were before.
After that night you realize how much you missed being a DJ, how much you missed music in your life. You feel relief to know this.
Your friend is smug about this also. You return to being a DJ though you only do it every Friday and Saturday night. You still work in your uncle's book store.
What is also nice about going back to being a DJ is Kawahara-san. He's just so nice and accomodating and also his taste in music is the same as yours. You also learned a lot of things about him. Like he is also an actor. Which is really cool.
Also because of Kawara-san you also met other DJs he had worked with and one of those is Alisa Uruhama. You two got along like long lost bestfriend and you find her so cool.
You thought that she was Kawahara-san's girlfriend but then both of them laughed at that and told you that it will never happen. They treated each other like siblings which is really nice.
You don't know why but it seems Alisa-san keeps on pushing you towards Kawahara-san or it might be the other way around? But then you told her about your past and she understood. Though that story only fueled her match making skills towards you and Kazuma.
There's been too many "so-called dates" and admit it or not those were nice times. But then you were afraid. You don't want a repeat of last time. And besides you enjoyed your friendship with Kazuma. It's better to stay that way.
Who knows that Kazuma doesn't think that way though.
You were brought out of your thoughts when one of the staffs asked for your assistance. The new magazines had been delivered and you and the others better stock it before the customers arrive. They said a lot had been waiting for that magazine.
As you were inspecting the magazine your eyes widened. There in the front page is Kazuma but then his hair is different. It's black and styled neatly. He looks different there. He was wearing a sports uniform. You read the magazine headline.
"Hyper Projection Engeki??"
"Ah! Have you seen that play (Your Name)-san?" Suddenly one of your co-workers asked. You shook your head. "Is it popular these days?" You asked and your co-worker gasped in shock.
"What are you saying (your name)-san??!! Haikyuu is very popular!! You should watch it. It's very worth it." "Oh. I see. But I don't know how to buy the tickets." You said sadly, you were interested in it because you wanted to see a different side of Kazuma.
"If you're worried about that I have my ticket." "Eh??" "Well my mom needs me on that day and I really can't go. So you can have my ticket instead. It's better that way than it getting wasted." Your co-worker explained and you gladly accepted her offer. Well aren't you a lucky one.
On the day of the stage play you felt like you're an alien in another universe. What's with the long line? And which line are you supposed to fall into? You got confused and ended up wondering around for a while. After observing you discovered that the other line is for buying merchandise. You ended up buying a photoset for Kazuma-san's character. You also got a gist of what the stage is all about.
And then it was time to go in and you got a pretty nice seat in the middle where you can see a full view of the stage. And then the play started.
The play was really nice and makes you awestruck. It was really good! The effects and the actors are really amazing and then Kazuma-san's role seems to not be one of the major character but then he portrayed it really well. It was really nice to discover something about him this way. Maybe you should send him a message and congratulate him for a job well done. It seems that tonight's stage is the last one as they said in the curtain call.
As you walk out of the room, you pulled out your phone typing a message for Kazuma so you can surprise him but you didn't realize that you're in a place that was supposed to be staffs only.
You looked up when you heard a crash. You saw a girl carrying a broken big box and the contents of the box is now scattered on her feet. She crouched down immediately and gathered the fallen things. You went towards her and offered some help.
"You look like you need help. Let me help you." You said as you pick up the things that you realized are gifts and letters. The girl smiled gratefully. "Thank you!" "Where do you bring this? You can't carry all of this stuff alone I'll help you carry it." You asked her and she looks really tired for some reason. "These are gifts for the actors. I'm just bringing it to them. I brought the others already this is the last box. It's really okay. I don't want to bother you." "It's fine. Come on." You finally said as you lift more gifts than her, she seems about to object but then shook her head and led the way. "Thank you very much again."
When you arrived at what you deem as the dressing room you slowly put the gifts on the table where the other gifts are. "Thank you once again." The girl said and bowed her head as you smiled. "No problem. I'm going ahead now." You bid her goodbye but then the door opened and in came the actors on the stage earlier. Wow!! How lucky can you really be?? You stood there in shock not knowing what to do.
It seems they didn't notice you but of course you will never go unnoticed by one person. "(Your Name)??!!" Kazuma-san exclaimed and everyone quietened down as they look at you. "What are you doing here??" Kazuma asked.
You smiled at him with a hint of a blush on your face because you got found out. It was embarrassing. He's still in his costume and carrying a small plastic basket with towels and other stuff. "Uhm. I watched the play. It was really wonderful. Otsukare!" You finally said and the blush on Kazuma's cheek is worth the embarrassment of being found out.
"You did??!!" He says unbelievingly. "I didn't know you knew about this? Did Alisa told you?"
"Oh she didn't! I saw you on a magazine. My friend said that it's a stage play and she gave me her ticket. So I'm here. Then this girl..." you pointed at the one you helped earlier. "I helped her bring something here."
"Oh I see..." Kazuma-san said with a wide smile. He looks really different with that hairstyle though now that you got a closer look. He seems to ooze a different aura.
"Ohhhh?? Who's this Kazumari?" Someone said and you realized it's the orange haired guy in the play. That guys words seems to make Kazuma flustered for some reason and it was kind of cute.
The others starts teasing him also but then you knew this will take long so you decided to take your leave. "Kawahara-san? I think I'm gonna go ahead. It was a great play. I really enjoyed it." You said with a smile but then you got confused since Kazuma looks like he wants to say something.
"Ah. Uhm. (Your name)-chan is it okay if you wait for me outside. I won't take long. I'd really like to talk to you though." Kazuma said while scratching the back of his neck as you nodded your head.
"Okay. I'm heading out then. Everyone it's nice meeting you and thank you for a great time. Otsukare! Jya ne~~" you bid the others goodbye as they did too and then you went out wondering what Kazuma would like to talk to you with?
"Might be about another mix." You shrug your shoulders and waited.
When Kazuma arrived you two decided to eat in a nearby cafe, he purposely avoided the one where the casts and staffs are eating. You asked him if it was okay for him to not be there and he said it was fine.
You waited for your orders first before Kazuma said something. You two talked about the play and other projects Kazuma had been casted with. It was really fun talking with him. Spending time like this. It was really nice.
When you two finished eating Kazuma invited you for a light walk in the park. And that's got you thinking as you walk quietly side by side. Isn't this a little like what a date is? Can this be called a date even when he didn't even said that it was? You got confused and thought hard about it until Kazuma disturbed your train of thoughts.
"What?" You asked taken aback and you stopped walking. You didn't hear what he said. Kazuma smiled, standing in front of you and said again, "There's something I want you to hear."
You nodded your head as he pulled out his phone and headphone. He puts the blue headphone on your head and starts scrolling on his phone and then the music flowed.

When the music faded you can't help but blush. You don't know why but the only thought in your head is that this song, this song is Kazuma's feelings. His true feelings for you.
But then you might have just gotten swept by the moment and overthinking things.

You froze on the spot. Did you heard it right? He said...
"I've been in love with you from the start."
Kazuma said once again and you looked up at him with shock in your eyes. You don't even know what to say. What should you say? But then being honest is the right path to take right?
"That song, when I heard it, it was like you're talking to me. It's like you're feelings are being said there. Am I reading it right?"
You asked Kazuma as he smiled at you and nodded his head. "Yeah. All of it are my feelings for you." He replied. "I know you're afraid to fall again. I know it was hard for you to trust again. But I'm gonna work hard for that. To earn your trust, to earn your love. That I promise to you (your name)."
You blush as he said those words and as you reflected on it, maybe from the beginning too, you've been in love with Kazuma. Because he saved you. He brought the music back to you again by using his own music.
You smiled at him. "Kawahara-san... Let's dance..." "Eh?"
You pulled out your earphones and replaced Kazuma's headphone. You gave the other one to him and he took it as he put it on his ear. You did the same and starts the music once again.
You two were just holding hands swaying left and right but the smile on your faces are priceless.
Then the bridge of the song came and you didn't realize that both of you sang it together.

When the song ended once again both of you have goofy smiles and then Kazuma pulled you into a hug. "I understand." He said and you smiled appreciatively because you know that he really did understand.
And on that night under the stars a new melody was formed between you two.
Someday you'll be able to tell Kazuma personally how you really feel about him. How much you love him. But that will remain as a surprise for now.
"Hey Mr. DJ, play my favorite song." You said to Kazuma with a laugh and he did laugh too. "Roger."
And the music flowed once again for as many times until both your hearts are content.
