Chapter Text
It was already 4 days since Helia had came.
Helia was pretty shy at first, she barely talked. Only spoke when Plum initiated a conversation with her. Slowly she opened up, bit by bit.
Plum learned Helia likes history. History isnt her strong suit, but she finds herself listening to every word Helia said.
A thick history book was placed on the table beside a pink pencil, Helia patted a spot beside her. Plum nodded, scooting to sit on the same chair. "I just bought this book online yesterday!" Helia said excitedly. Plum didnt know what's so.. exciting, about the book. Helia started to open the first page, skimming through the paragraphs with one finger.
Plum paid attention to the page she opened, while Helia started rambling about.. war planes? Yeah, that. Whatever it is.
Between the chattering at class, the other kids playing, Helia's voice and the book infront of them, Plum finds herself paying more attention to her face.
Helia has freckles. She could count them one by one. Her lashes seemed to flutter each word, brushing the lenses of her black-square glasses. Her braided hair shifted when she moved to fix her posture.
Plum didnt speak, she kept listening. Helia paused when Plum didnt speak for a while, "Heyy, Plum! You okay there?"
Plum snapped out of her reverie, focusing on her gaze. "Uhh, yeah im alright." She said, sitting up a bit straighter.
"You sure? You spaced out for some time there," Helia raised an eyebrow leaning back to her chair. Their shoulders brushed due to it, making Plum feel giddy. She wasnt sure why, but she realized she liked being this close with Helia.
"Im sure, im alright dude." Plum reassured, tilting her head to look at her.
"If you say so," the taller girl smiled. And wow. She's.. even prettier like that, Plum thought. She felt warmth, fuzziness in her chest. She liked it.
