~~Chapter 2 start~~

It was exactly an hour later, or probably an hour later, that Geno felt another presence. This one had no steps, but a loud ambiance. If that even made sense. He could just tell somebody else was here, and this one he recognized.

He’d visited before; he was a close friend of Geno’s. “Genitooo~” The voice of the “new” person whinnied, clearly in a playful mood.

Geno turned to face his boon companion, a small smile creeping up on him. “Hello Reaper.” He greeted, looking up at what would’ve been a terrifying sight for anybody outside the title screen.

The manifestation of death, Reaper. He wore a hooded black robe, having it cover his alleged feet entirely in a way it would a ghost. He had his crow-like black wings glued to his back, seemingly holding his scythe in place as it was behind him. The rope around his waist was as tight as ever, and the one around his neck rather loose in contrast.

He noticed the other staring, bringing his hand up to his face. He seemed to have dark eyebags, worse than his usual meek dark circles. “What?” He asked, this time his voice in its normal pitch. “Is there something on my face?”

Geno shook his head, letting out a snarky remark. “No, just wondering when you’ll get a better outfit.”

“I don’t think the god of death needs to be fashionable.” The other shrugged, levitating over to where his friend was and settling down next to him.

He hummed. “It’d just be thoughtful of you to look nice while reaping, give them something nice to look at.” Reaper leaned backwards on his hands, catching Geno’s attention for a second before he focused back on the screen in front of him.

It was silent for a few seconds before Death spoke up again. “I think you need a makeover too, Geno.” It seemed like a genuine comment, and honestly, he was right.

Despite how good he might feel about his outfit, it had some much-needed modifications. The only reason it looked good was because of who was wearing it, not because of how it looked. He wasn’t about to admit that though. “Oh please!” He huffed.

Reaper chuckled. “You know I’m right.” He spoke, his gaze shifting to the other. The bleeding skeleton caught on from his peripheral vision, making eye contact.

“Well, actually…” He looked up—thinking—before looking back at his friend. “Some disaster came by earlier today. Called himself Ink, claimed he was a Sans too. How weird is that?” Geno whispered, clearly starting a gossip train.

The other seemed intrigued. “Oh, is that so?” He leaned a bit closer, intrigued. “Ink Sans, huh?”

Geno nodded. “Yeah, he kept talking to me while I was trying to focus. No matter how much I ignored him he just talked and talked and talked.” He complained. “Not only that, did I mention how ugly his outfit was? Also, he made this weird wet splotchy sound like twice? It was nasty.” He leaned back as he complained, his eyes on the bright screen in front of him.

Reaper’s barely visible eyelights trailed off to the floor. He let out an intelligible mumble, before clearing his throat. “Don’t you call everyone’s outfit ugly, though?” He joked, clearly poking fun at the other.

“Oh, ha-ha.” Geno rolled his eyes, “But seriously, he was really strange. I don’t know how he got here even. I thought you said only you could access this timeline because you are death itself.”

The other took on a more serious demeanor. “It is weird, you’re right.” He muttered, laying down on the floor. “Think he’ll come back?”

“Mmhh… not really sure. I was kind of an asshole.” The anomaly admitted, feeling a bit guilty.

Reaper chuckled. “Isn’t that just like you?” He teased, resting his head on his arms. He was laying on his back, looking up at the void of the title screen.

Geno laid down with him, looking up as well. “Yeah, I guess.”

And once again, silence filled the space the bleeding skeleton resided in. However, this one felt more comforting.
