Chapter Text
As she layed there and cried until her face burned . She layed there clutching her own body hoping that anyting would bring him back. Till she felt a hand on her head. She looked up to see Jax on the verge of tears. She immediately hugged him, causing him to wince and her to pull away apologising."I-Im sorry- dont move your arms too much- are you okay? I thought-" Jax seemed solemn. Staring at his hands. "If I didnt pass out i would have-" the corners of his mind carpet in as his memories flooded his brain. "I almost tried to-" his face was blank and empty from emotion. He just stared at his hands. Then at the bathroom, covered in blood causing his eyes to flicker for a moment, a feeling poking through. Then at the ceiling. Watching the stars and refractions of light bounce off eachother happily.
He lightly smiled, but it faded soon after. "Before you got here.." his eybries furrowed "Before Kaufmo abstracted." He choked on his words. "I knew- I had a friend called-" tears started to collect in the corners of his eyes. "Ribbit-" He let them fall. "They- were the only person here that made me feel like being all that I am was.. okay" Pomni took his hand gently. "And then we had a fight- I got mad and- made a horrible suggestion." He squeezed her hand. "And they-" his expression shifted to an empty regret.
"There's nothing I can do now but.. accept im a horrible annoying person, whos too much- who hurts people and will never amount to anything." He closed his eyes. "So I thought there's no point in waiting for abstraction, when I could do it myself." Pomni cried, soaking in what she had just heard. "I think-" she thought for a moment. "I think they would understand." He looked at her wide eyed. "I think they would be happy to see how far you've come." Jax started to cry again smiling. "You think so?" Pomni smiled back. "I know so"
They both stared up at the ceiling. Taking a deep breath Jax felt at peace. "Your enough" Pomni wasn't sure if he was telling that to himself or to her, but either way, she was happy he was. She hugged him, and he hugged back. "What can i do to help?" Pomni asked cupping his face. "Just stay here, with me, i promise, I'll never push you away again." Pomni smiled "I will and I know" Pomni thought for a moment. "Come with me" she got out of bed as Jax followed hesitantly. "Dont worry, everyone's asleep by now." She took his hand as she led them down the hallway. "I had Caine make a room" she opened the door and a forrest with tall trees caught the moonlight, as the soft grass of the field gently flowed. A picnic rug the colour of deep oceans and the foam on tops of waves layed comfortably. But as they layed down, the best part was yet to come the trees perfectly framed the night sky as cosmos and stars glittered the view above them. "This is- amasing" he breathed in the fresh cool night air. He took her hand as she moved closer to him. "I needed this, thank you" He left a soft kiss on her forehead. Pomni admired him for a moment before speaking "You deserve all the stars in the night sky and every drop of moonlight, I will never stop seeing your glow and never stop finding more reasons to love you." Jax smiled and laughed. "I dont know what I did to deserve somone like you" she held his hand tighter. And they fell asleep beneath the stars in eachothers embrace as the music box hummed gentle melodies.
