Chapter Text
The next morning after getting out of bed with Annabeth, they headed down to breakfast. As they walked toward the dining pavilion, looking around camp as if he was saying his goodbyes. When he sat down with Annabeth, she started eating immediately, but he couldn't bring himself to eat anything, as usual.
After breakfast, Annabeth went off to go train, while Percy wandered back to his cabin to write down his final goodbyes. As he sat down on the floor with a pen and paper he started crying, then ugly sobbing, and finally pulling himself back together enough to write the notes. Promising that it wasn't their fault, that he was beyond saving anyways. He arranged them neatly on his bed, making sure they would see them after he was gone.
He walked into the bathroom and grabbed a bottle of pills, he couldn't read the label, but he didn't care what they were as long as they killed him. He puled up his hoodie sleeve and looked at the symphony of self-inflicted scars already gracing his arm. He opened the pill bottle and swallowed as many as he could, then slit his writs...deep.
The last thing he heard was the ringing in his own ears and a scream that sounded vaguely like Annabeths.
Then, he was gone. All it took was a bottle of pills to end one of the greatest heroes in history.
