Chapter Text
Was it night already? His beloved only visited a few hours ago…
You delusional lunatic.
Those words still rang in his ears, they did hurt a bit; but Fintan has always liked it when his beloved Blackbird called him names~
He needed to get out of these chains. He couldn’t stand another second away from his love.
He started burning the chains connecting him to the bed, making sure to keep the embers low to decrease his chance at getting caught. A few painstakingly long moments later, the chains finally broke. He immediately got up and ran to the door, looking around at the hall when he opened it. Luckily, he still remembered the layout of his old “friend’s” castle. His bedroom should be in this hall… there! He smiled as he saw the correct door, rushing over to it.
Locked…
But, as luck would have it, he knew how to pick locks. After a few minutes of struggling, he finally opened that stubborn door. Stepping into the dark room, he had to squint to make out anything in it as his eyes slowly adjusted to the lack of lighting. He slowly made his way over to his Blackbird’s bed.
“Oh, you look so handsome, my stunning Blackbird~” He complimented the sleeping figure as he climbed atop the bed and the man on it, reaching out to gently caress his face. He couldn’t help but let out a sigh of awe as he stared at the beauty underneath him. Fintan’s heart raced as he watched the way Bronte reacted to his touch, even as he was asleep.
He leaned down to press a kiss to his jaw, accidentally inhaling his scent. “You smell delicious,” he sighed, though it was a bit more of a groan than a sigh. He kissed below his ear, his breath now turning raggedy and almost feral-seeming as he started to softly, almost cultishly chant “All mine” over and over. Another kiss on the edge of his cheek, starting a trail that stopped on the side of Bronte’s lips as an attempt to control himself before he went too far. He took a few deep breaths before leaning back down to kiss right below his eye, scattering kisses all over the councillor’s face. Councillor, such a cruel reminder that he wasn’t allowed to fully have what was supposed to be his because of that stupid celibacy rule, even given it was partially his fault that it was put into place and wasn’t the only rule he’s broken or will break, he couldn’t help but be mad that it existed.
He pressed a kiss to Bronte’s neck, pausing as the man pinned under him stirred a little at the touch. Perhaps it would be best if Fintan stopped before his Blackbird woke up…
He laid down on top of him and rested his head on the man’s chest. “Goodnight, Blackbird,” he murmured as he drifted off to the sound of his love’s heartbeat.
