Niko couldn’t explain how excited he was.
Sure, he has went to a lot of different countries before,but he has never went to Europe- let alone France
Ironic no? His fiancée- or rather his Husband is french but in all their years of being together, they haven’t once traveled to france.
They were currently walking down a street near the city center of Paris.
Charles has went to Paris a few times before and knew all the best places to go to.
The blonde was rather a picky eater and for Niko, that was a big problem.
It was exhausting having to find foods that Charles actually liked.
So when he suggested going to a cafe he adored, Ikki knew the food was going to be good.
“And then Shidou was like ‘No? If you were to shave a Penguins fur off, it wouldnt be cold cuz it has fat skin’ and then Otoya said-“
“Honey, where is the cafe?”
“Hm? Oh, it’s right over there!”
Charles pointed at a small building.
The cafe was small but looked cozy, it had a popping orange colored awning with the words ‘Aki boulangerie’ scripted on top.
There weren’t many people around or in the cafe since it was still pretty early in the morning, which Niko is thankful for since he gets overwhelmed easily in crowded areas.
Charles took Niko’s hand and pulled both of them into the cafe eagerly.
He dragged them just infront of the menu boards and they started to choose things to order.
“I just know you’ll love the chocolate croissants they have! They’re the best!”
“If you say so, then ill just get a matcha and a chocolate croissant. You?”
“Hmmmm…..ill get a dozen macaroons anddddd…. A iced latte with extra sugar!”
“Ok….can you please order for the both of us?”
Charles expected that question but he never minded ordering for the both of them “Ofc mon amour”
Charles went up to the Barista to tell her their order.
She was smiling politely when Charles came over.
« Bonjour, que puis-je vous servir ? »
(Good morning, what can i get for you?)
« Pourrais-je avoir un croissant au chocolat, un Matcha, une douzaine de macarons et un latte glacé avec du sucre supplémentaire?»
(could i please get a chocolate croissant, a Matcha, A dozen macarons and one iced latte with extra sugar)
« Bien sûr. Est-ce que ce serait tout ? »
(Of course. Would that be all?)
"Oui"
(Yes)
« ça fera 34 euros et 50 centimes s'il vous plaît »
(That will be 34 euros and 50 cents please)
Charles pulled out his wallet from his pocket and took a 50€ bill
He then gave it to the barista who took it and gave him back his 15.50€
Once done ordering,Charles came back to the table next to the window where Niko was sitting at peacefully.
“What would you like to do after we’re done eating mon ange? (My angel)”
“Where would You like to go?”
“I don’t know. Ive already been everywhere in paris so you can decide”
Niko looked away shyly, as if he were to be embarrassed about what he was about to ask “…do they have a manga store”
Charles giggled at that, not to make of Niko, but rather because it was predictable that Ikki was going to ask that.
“Yes they do, I’ve went there before and im positive that you’ll like it”
Niko visibly lit up and looked at his Husband to see him smiling back at him.
“Can we go please?”
“Ofc we can, you don’t have to ask”
Just as Niko was about to say something-a waiter came and put their food on the table between them
Charles quickly thanked the waiter before opening the box of macarons and his eyes visible glistened.
He took a pink one and bit into it, the taste sweet but nutty at the same time.
Charles hummed to express his pure happiness and relief after not eating his favorite food in a while.
Niko’s lipped curved into a small smile seeing as how a simple macaron could make his love happy with pure bliss
Ikki turned the box to face him instead of Charles and looked trough the diffrent colors. He picked a Dark purple one and took it out of the box to bite in.
“Yum” he murmured with his mouth full.
“Anyways where was i?”
He looked up like the answer was written obove.
He got that habit after watching so many anime’s and manga’s.
“Ah right! How long is the store from here?”
Charles,who had his 5th macaron in his mouth, looked back at Niko only for his view to be blocked by the box of his favorite dessert.
He moved the box away and asked “what did you say?”
“How long is the walk from here till the store”
Charles thought for a sec before looking back at Ikki and replying with
“About 10 mins. It’s fairly close”
“Then im guessing we’ll walk there”
“Mhm fine by me”
They kept on chatting for a long time while eating their breakfast

They were on their way to the manga store after eating.
Niko was ranting about the new Manga he started called “Kagaki Shojo”
Charles was listening to him and also joined in the rant by asking questions.
When they finally arrived in front of the store, Niko couldn’t stop smiling.
As an otaku, he owns a lot- and by a lot he meant A LOT of mangas, but they were all either in japanese or English. He’s been trying to get a french manga in ages but could never find one and he didn’t want to buy one online.
(I imagine Niko to have learned french from Charles after dating for so long.
He isnt fluent but he knows a lot of french and can communicate well )
Niko can tell anyone from experience that ordering any book from online is risky and dangerous. He’s had countless of times where his Mangas arrived either ripped or bend and he didn’t feel like dealing with that.
Once they finally got into the store, Niko bolted directly at the “Crime drama” genre of Manga.He wanted his first french Manga to also be his Favorite Manga so he looked trough the shelves until he finally found it.
He pulled the Yellow cover out and looked down at the titel
“Banana fish”
Was he planning on buying all of the volumes?
No
Why?
Because its a waste of money to buy 19 Mangas that you already have just for the reason that its in a diffrent language.
But he did want to buy one french Manha ,so he only bought the first Volume.
Niko turned to Charles, who was standing next to him while leaning on a wall,
And he showed him the Manga proudly,
As if it were to be a priceless piece of art.
And in Niko’s mind, it was.
He went to checkout to purchase his first ever french Manga and put it under his armpit.
When they were finally done with purchasing ,they went out to go to their next destination.
The Eiffel Tower

“Woah”
The couple were bellow the eiffel tower, looking up at the famous structure.
“Breathtaking, Non?”
“Truly is”
“We should go ontop of it!”
“What?! No! Are you trying to get us killed?”
“How could you ever die from climbing ontop of this masterpiece, mon amour?”
“Oh i dont know- maybe FALLING TO YOUR DEMISE?”
“Oh don’t be silly Ikki, We wont fall! Besides, im pretty sure they have attached a Saftey net incase someone does somehow climb over the railing”
“Its still….to high”
Charles laughed and turned his head to look at Niko
“So what was the point of buying those tickets if we won’t use them?”
“I didn’t know it was going to be THAT tall”
“So your scared?”
Niko looked back at Charles and pouted
“Im not scared, just…” he looked back up at the tower “nervous”
“Dont worry, ill make sure you dont fall”
“Ok…fine, but if i do fall im blaming this on you!”
“Eh!? What did i do :(“
“It was YOUR idea, not mine” niko looked away while crossing his arms playfully
“Ok ok, ill take full responsibility then” Charles chuckled at the ridiculous situation
“Good”

After countless elevators and stairs, Niko and Charles finally made it to the top huffing and puffing.
“That was ‘breathing’ really ‘breathing’ fucking hard”
Niko sat in a Chair next to the small cafe built in the eiffel tower
“God- this could make up for ATLEAST 2 weeks of training”
“Yea, i can barely feel my legs”
“How in the worls do the workers get up here on daily bases?”
“I dont know- but i bet they got abs after having to do this 2 times a day”
They took about 5 minutes to catch their breathes after the intense non-workout-workout they just did.
Charles went up to the railing to look down at the city from above
Niko’s heart almost jumped out of his chest when he saw Charles get closer to the railing, scared that he’ll accidentally fall.
“CHARLES! Be careful?!”
“Im not a child Niko! I know what im doing, no need to worry yourself over nothing”
“Yes, but still!”
“Ill be cautious!”
Charles looked back down before calling out for Niko to join him in the watching
“Cmon Niko! The view’s awesome!”
Niko was hesitant at first, but after Charles took his hand softly to show that he’ll make sure he doesn’t get hurt, Niko finally peeked down
And the view was stunning
Ikki’s jaw dropped
“étonnant, non?”
(Astonishing,No?)
“c'est vraiment étonnant”
(It really is astonishing)
Charles wrapped his Arm around Niko and pulled him closer to his side
Niko glanced up at him
“baiser, mon chérie?”
(Kiss, my darling?)
Charles looked down and nodded
They shared a heartfelt kiss right there, ontop of the Eiffel tower
It wasn’t intense, nor was it lustful
It was the typ of kiss where you truly get to appreciate your partner
They parted their lips and grinned
Niko and Charles stayed ontop of the Eiffel tower a bit longer, the silence soothing and comforting.
