Chapter Text
To my Beautiful Brighteyes,
It's nights like these where I miss your warmth. I decided to write something down after all. It's strange, because I'm not the type for love letters. At least, not when I was with you.
Not when I had you to hold and fill the space in my cabin that is oh so empty. Not when we had a son. Not when our life was so close to being perfect and complete. What happened to you?
What's happened without me? Every time I think of the family dinners and laughter across the halls, something in me dies. And it's strange, because you'd think someone who's been in here for years has found closure already.
That the fact that I won't come home to you and the kids anymore is already a settled matter. Something I cannot change. Something I won't ever change.
I hope they're alright. I hope you twirl sevenless before she heads to school. I hope you still find comfort in shitty soap operas.
I hope you still cherish crowns endlessly, end up spending hours teaching children how Robloxia came to be, and still practice sword fighting every Sunday.
I miss your love. I miss your sweet kisses, I miss breakfast in bed on bad days, I miss sleepless nights we wished at the time we didn't have. I'd trade it all to find you again.
If the day comes that we too, are reborn once again, it'd be nice to sit with you in a field, humming a tune, flowers twisted into your hair.
So I'll wait for you till then.
Best regards and wishes,
Yours without doubt, Shedletsky
