“Sorry we’re late!”
Maki busted through the door. She was hand in hand with Nobara, and they were each holding gifts.
“Holy shit.” Nobara exclaimed.
Gojo and Geto walked in behind them, Gojos arm was resting over Getos shoulders.
“Damn, Fushiguro! I guess he really liked them manga huh?”
Yuji tilted his gaze away and kept his eyes fixed on Megumi. Megumi did the same.
He leaned down to cup Itadoris face in his hands. “Of course I’ll marry you.”
Yuji slipped the ring onto his right hand and kissed it. It was a perfect fit.
“Ok, ok! You guys are married now or fiancés, whatever. You may kiss the groom, blah blah.” Maki stampeded in, cleaning up. “Time for our gifts!” Maki handed a gift to Yuji, Megumi, Gojo, Geto, and finally- Nobara.
“I got Inumaki one too, but he’s not here yet.”
Maki could barely finish her sentence before a familiar voice lightly called out after a quick *click* of the door.
“Tuna Mayo.”
“Just in time! Nobara scoffed Maki was about to rant.”
Maki rolled her eyes dramatically. “Not true! It’s not my fault I have the best taste in gifts.”
Gojo laughed as he unwrapped his present.
“Oh look at that! Matching sunglasses, very thoughtful, Maki. I’ll put it with the others you’ve gotten me.” The room erupted in laughter- even Geto and Inumaki chuckled.
“Don’t start with me, old man!” Maki shot back.
“You walked right into that one,” Geto whispered into his ear.
Meanwhile, Yuji admired Megumis ring as it sparkled under the tree lights. He turned his hand over repeatedly, as if it weren’t real.
Nobara groaned. “You’re engaged, that won’t change if you blink.”
Yuji shook his head. “Can’t. He might disappear.”
Megumi rolled his eyes. “You’re ridiculous.”
“You love it, though.”
The room erupted into awes-except for Maki, who gagged.
“Ew. Disgusting. I need eye bleach.”
Nobara teased her, “Then stop looking, babes.”
“Never.”
Gojo sighed with his arms wrapped around Geto’s waist. “My young students. All grown up, getting married, being all sappy in my glorious presence-“
Geto lifted an eyebrow. “Married? Isn’t it a proposal?”
“Details details.” Gojo shook him off.
“No.” Megumi said deadpanned. “I heard you planning this for months.”
Everyone looked to Yuji.
“You’ve been planning this for how long?!” Nobara screeched. “Salmon.”
“Since Valentines? I couldn’t find a good moment. Gojo was talking about some romantic tension, I dunno.”
Gojo smirked. “You’re welcome. Be grateful I didn’t suggest skydiving.”
Yuji grunted. “But… you did.”
A minute later Inumaki broke the silence.
“Salmon!” His phone flashed and he quickly started typing.
“Did you just… take a picture?” Megumi prodded. Inumaki signaled a thumbs up. Nobara peered over his shoulder. “He’s sending it to Nanami.” A second later Yujis phone buzzed. It was Nanami.
‘Congratulations. Please ask Gojo to stop texting me about being a flower girl.’ Yuji read it aloud.
Megumi and Itadori walked off to grab cookies from the stove.
“Hey, ‘Gumi? Merry Christmas.”
“Merry Christmas, you idiot.”
