Chapter Text
The ground shook beneath as hurried footsteps followed. Seraphim gave a glance toward the ocean before facing forward into the vast deep jungle that welcomed her with open arms, as it was the only thing that did now. She sighed, pacing her speed and breath as trees whistled solemnly through stagnant wind that pierced through her like a sharp knife.
She found a small break in the trees along the oceanside as she decided to set up a camp to regain energy. The camp wasn't anything spectacular; in fact, it was quite small, consisting only of a fire, 2 logs to sit on, and a small tent.
She sat on one of the logs, sighing as she watched the gentle waves smoothly wash onto the shore, a bucket swayed in her hands. The bucket was empty, showing slight burn marks as it shifted from side to side. She turned to look at it, remorse glinting in her eyes as a painful picture was painted in her mind.
The soft medieval atmosphere of Tricolor appeared before her, along with its ruler, Jophiel. Seraphim could never forget her, not those innocent blue eyes or those majestic golden locs.
"Lady Seraphim, isn't today just beautiful?" Jophiel asked, smiling as she walked alongside Seraphim.
"Today is quite nice," she responded, a sword and lava bucket resting in her inventory as she gave a glance.
"I could die happy being beside you, being beside someone to whom I can trust my life," she replied, relaxing her shoulders as she moved herself closer. Seraphim's shoulders stiffened, her steps slower as she responded.
"Don't trust your life with anyone, for even they can stab you in the back,"
"But you wouldn't, would you?"
Seraphim paused, her breath heavy, her mind numb as she held a sword out toward Jophiel.
"I'm sorry,"
"Seraphim please I-"
...
..
.
She blinked, the sound of peaceful waves bringing her back as she threw the bucket aside. She fixated her eyes on whispering waves, soft but faint as they splashed, fizzing like hushed murmurs echoing off wooden walls.
"The plan is simple," Fluixon exclaimed, his hands slamming onto the long table in front as the others silenced themselves in response, as they stared from their respective chairs.
"We all know that Seraphim is going on trial at the Commonwealth in two days. In those two days, we will be observing the roof then trapping it, similarly to our past plans with Saparata," Saparata sank in his seat, despite forgiving Fluixon for his plans against him, hearing him mention these previous plans so casually made knots form in his stomach. Like butterflies abruptly dying in warm spring.
"Any questions?" he asked, his voice calm and collected as if he weren't planning murder. Saparata arose quietly from his chair, hand slowly raising as he made eye contact with the conspirator's leader. Fluixon rolled his eyes as he made them meet his.
"You don't have to raise your hand. We aren't in school, just speak," he commanded in a low voice as he watched him break their eye contact.
"Since I don't know how to build redstone traps what will I do?" he asked, the others nodding as they realized they questioned the same. Fluixon sat back in his seat, puzzled as he went into deep thought.
He never even thought about how Saparata wasn't skilled in redstone. He never had to think about something like that before since every member prior was trained and skilled in redstone. Then suddenly, it hit him. Saparata was skilled at socializing and people. He could calm down the angriest person, convince someone that an orange was actually blue, it was an important skill to have, an important skill for the conspiracy to harness.
"People will be wondering why the team of Luminara and Mediator Saparata is at the Commonwealth. I need you to make an excuse and sound reasoning as to why we are there so we don't seem suspicious," He nodded as the meeting slowly concluded after this.
Both Saparata and Fluixon were in their boat now, rowing back to land with Saparata in the back and Fluixon in front. The ride was strangely silent until.
"Hey Flux, do you really think I have any worth being in the conspiracy or am I just here because you feel bad?" The boat stopped. Silence echoed against the waves light vibrations as Fluixon thought of a response.
"You have worth in the conspiracy. I wouldn't have let you join if I didn't see anything in you. I care about you, I don't just pity you Saps," He turned slightly to make eye contact with him as he said this before he began to row the boat once again.
"Thank you Flux, that's comforting to know,"
