Godseeker took her seat at the high throne she had watched countless battles in. It felt good to be back in this seat, she oh so loved a good fight.
With a snap of her fingers, two gates on either side of the arena below her opened up. On one end the Hive Knight stepped forward, on the other end six Watcher knights rolled out onto the field, taking positions around the bee.
Godseeker pondered this one. Hive Knight was far more powerful, but would he be able to handle all six of the beetles? None of them were pushovers in their own right.
Hive Knight readied their needle and charged straight ahead. He slashed at one of the Watcher Knights, too quick for them to parry. The beetle stumbled backwards before slashing with their nail. Hive Knight quickly jumped out of the way only to collide with a spinning ball that was another Watcher Knight.
Once back on the ground, the bee zips between two Watcher knights rolling towards them, leaving a spike bomb in his place. The two beetles collide with each other and before they can get out of the way are pelted with stinging spikes.
Taking the chance, Hive Knight quickly jumps above the two Watcher Knights and slashes down at them. One of them moves just in time to dodge a lethal blow, his blade only grazing their shoulder, but the other isn't so lucky as his needle slices right through their skull.
Hive Knight turns around just in time to get hit in the face by another rolling beetle. He staggers back and quickly parries the rolling knight falling from above him. The Watcher Knight knocks his stance open, leaving him vulnerable to the swinging nail of another.
Thinking quickly, Hive Knight falls backwards, ducking under the swinging nail. He rolls away to the side, leaving three spike bombs behind. He ducks behind one of the three nearby beetles, piercing his needle into their back and using them as a shield against the explosion of skies that kicks off a moment later.
Upon retrieving his needle from the Watcher knight's body, the bug falls dead to the floor. Two down, four to go.
He charges forwards again, seeing the first knight he had hit with spikes staying back to recover. Easy pickings! He tossed another spike bomb to one side and slashed through the beetle's side as they tried to avoid it.
When he turned around to face the others, he was surprised, and worried, to find only one of them. They rolled towards him, keeping his focus. He swiftly sidestepped the Watcher knight, but neglected to see the one that had snuck behind him. He gasped a nail slashes across his back.
Hive Knight turned around and thrust his needle into the face of the watcher that had just attacked him, cleanly piercing their shell, when the other knight he had lost track of came crashing down on top of him from above.
He struggled to stand back up, giving the two remaining Watcher Knights enough time to pierce him with their nails from either side.
Godseeker clapped giddily. It had been far too long since she had witnessed a battle worth watching. She was filled with excitement at what was to come.
