Chapter Text
Katsuki hated this. He hated that he had hurt his friends so much, and that he was currently in the process of hurting the one that he had fallen for. He wished he had never tried to invoke Manon, because he was sure as hell that what was inside him was not Manon.
‘Up the stairs you go,’ whatever it was inside him said, and he felt himself moving toward Eijirou’s room, as much as he didn’t want to go. He tried to hold back his steps, but the entity kept him moving forward, trailing the athame against the wall, the squealing sound of it against the mirror on the wall grating to Katsuki’s ears.
He entered the bedroom, and Eijirou was nowhere to be seen, thankfully. Maybe he got frightened and ran away. That was what Katsuki desperately was hoping for. He was tired of this game, he truly was. He passed by the full-length mirror that Eijirou kept in his bedroom, and nearly jumped out of his skin when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
“The hell?” he rasped out, voice not at all sounding like his own, as he took in the sight of Eijirou inside the mirror. He stepped out of it, a fire to his eyes that Katsuki had never seen before. “Why aren’t you dead?” it asked and Katsuki wanted to scream in frustration. Why couldn’t he have control over his own body anymore?
“He saved me.” Was the simple response from Eijirou, and instantly, Katuski knew that everything was going to be alright. “He also wanted me to let you know you’re in deep shit, Shigaraki.” So that’s the name of the thing possessing him. Good to know.
“What are you going to do about it then? One wrong move, and I kill your little friend here.” Somehow, Katsuki didn’t doubt that Shigaraki would do just that. He’s barely slept in the weeks since the possession happened, and his body was weak. It was a catch twenty-two. He wanted Eijirou’s help, but wasn’t sure how to go about doing it.
Eijirou looked through Katsuki, it seemed, and a small smirk crossed his face. It was kinda hot, in Katsuki’s humble opinion.
“I bind you Shigaraki, from doing harm against others, and harm against yourself.”
“Wait!” He could feel Shigaraki getting agitated, and instantly Katsuki was worried about what was going to happen.
“I bind you Shigaraki, from doing harm against others, and harm against yourself.”
“I bind you…” Eijirou started for the third time, and that’s when Shigaraki pounced, throwing himself at Eijirou with the athame raised high. Eijirou expertly dodged the blade and fought back, shoving Shigaraki off of him. Katsuki felt himself stumble, falling to the ground as Shigaraki seethed inside him.
“Katsuki! I know you’re in there! Come on man—break free of him!” Eijirou yelled and oh Katsuki wished it were that simple. The demon had a deep grasp on him, and he wasn’t sure if there was anything anyone could do to break it.
“Come on Katsuki! I love you!” he yelled, extending his hand out. Katsuki took in a sharp breath, not believing his ears at first. There was no way that Eijirou just confessed to him like that. But as he looked at the red-head, he realized that yes, he did.
It was like there was an explosion behind Katsuki, as he ran toward Eijirou and took his hand. He heard, and felt, Shigaraki scream, and he felt weightless as he separated from the demon. He looked Eijirou in the eyes, crimson locked with garnet, before leaning in and giving him a quick, yet passionate kiss. One that thanked him for everything—especially for being his equal.
As they broke apart, they turned and looked toward where Shigaraki was lying on the floor. He looked crusty—his body was a heap on the ground and he was hissing at them, trying to get up but failing miserably. He glanced over at Eijirou, who nodded back at Katsuki. They then looked at Shigaraki, hands still clasped.
“We bind you Shigaraki, from doing harm against others, and harm against yourself.” He writhed on the ground, but couldn’t get the momentum to get up and attack them.
“We bind you Shigaraki, from doing harm against others, and harm against yourself.”
“We bind you Shigaraki, from doing harm against others, and harm against yourself.” By the time the incantation was repeated for the third time, Shigaraki lay dormant, glaring at them. Eijirou approached him, while maintaining a safe distance, and squatted in front of him.
“In the name of Manon, I banish you,” he said, pressing a finger into the demon’s forehead. He hissed one last time before he disintegrated into a pile of ashes on the bedroom floor. The two boys looked at each other, and Katsuki felt relieved. He swayed slightly, and was caught by Eijirou, who helped him get to the bed. As he laid down and sleep started to overcome him, he felt peace. He knew he had to have a serious conversation with Eijirou. Denki and Hanta too. But for now, he willed himself to relax. Finally, it was all over.

It had been about a month since the showdown/exorcism in Eijirou’s bedroom, and things had been going well for him. He and Katsuki had a long conversation, which ended with the two of them trying out a relationship, on the condition that Katsuki saw a therapist. The other boy whole-heartedly agreed, so that was nice.
“Eijirou! Your friends are here,” his dad yelled, and Eijirou ran outside to greet Denki and Hanta. They had been extremely remorseful following the previous month’s events, rightfully so.
“I still hope you know that the thing with your dad and Akari was just a glamour,” Denki explained for what felt like the hundredth time since the event as they walked toward the Bakugou estate.
“Denki, babe, I think he gets it by now,” Hanta sighed. “Still, I’m sorry that this happened.”
“Guys, it’s okay. I promise,” Eijirou sighed himself. He loved his friends, he really did, but sometimes they could be exhausting, especially with the nonstop apologies. He appreciated it, but now it was just starting to get tiring.
They walked in silence, and Eijirou let the wind talk to him, happy that the whispers of Manon were still inside of him. Invoking him seemed to have done wonders for him—his confidence had boosted and he felt like he was more powerful in his own skin.
They approached the gazebo where it all started, and Eijirou was excited to see Katsuki sitting there, setting up the altar for them to call the corners.
“Hey babe,” Eijirou called, placing a kiss on Katsuki’s cheek and loving the way his face turned pink at the public display of affection.
“Hey to you too, Shitty Hair,” he grumbled, which made Eijirou laugh even more.
The three of them took their respective seats around the altar and added their own trinkets and tokens to it, making it more robust and ready for their spellworking time. Midsummer was right around the corner, and they made a deal that they would reconvene as a coven and work toward righting the wrongs that they had done in rituals previously.
“Now is the time. This is the hour. Ours is the magick. Ours is the power.” The words started as a whisper and grew louder in volume the more they chanted. As the four of them joined hands and focused their energy together, Eijirou realized that this was where he was meant to be. Sitting with his friends and boyfriend, practicing the craft together. And by the blessings of Manon, he was ready for whatever was to come his way next. Blessed be.
