Kai panted as she reached the manor, ofcourse the skies where gloomy, more on so! Alfred ofcourse let her in easily as she rushed in the manor
Dick turned to look
Jason as ofcourse in the kitchen eating.. not even bothered she rushed in
Cassandra was sat near the piano nursing a cup of tea with Stephanie
They didnt mind at all, they knew how much this girl was cared for by the Demon heir it was a miracle he was able to love, especially at the starting age of 6, about .. eh years ago when he started to train as an assassin but had a bit of warmth given to him by one person — her, Kai, just now the girl knew, they were pretty happy for the both of them.
Damian was just laying on his bed limp, very much tired of trying to find his only beloved, when she was clearly in another universe a bit while earlier
Before he could even process it she pounced on the poor man like it was a WWE showdown, and- Not..? A scary scene for him, he looked like he was looking for centuries instead of hours
"Hey hey Damian?? I'm so sorry!" Kai said ruffling his kept hair
"Okay." He said, wrapping his arm around the woman, burying his tired head onto her neck
She patted his back, resting her chin atop the boys head
"Beloved, Please don't do that again, i do NOT beg, i never do, don't tell them.." He scowled burying himself more — tugging the large clean blanket over them both, much more comfortable than her own sheets..
She sighed, resting herself against the tired person, just staying above the very much grumbling Damian.
She slowly, but surely drifted off to sleep peacefully above the gaze of the man under her..

TWHAK! On
That sound made her flinch, why is she here, the house .. was everything a dream? Damian confessing? Was Dami and Damian even the same?.. but..
Her mind was in shambled before she could process the belt hitting her right shoulder, the bruise turning purple already, she couldnt heal.. didnt even.. she let out a quiet hiss looking up — her younger.. brother? Hes supposed to be at highschool forced into suspension for- that was a dream, all a dream, Damian Wayne was a dream.
She panicked feeling the pain shoot through her limbs so fast, she can barely scream, is this a dream? Was damian and the whole spider bite a dream? Too much comics..?
Another metal side of the belt hit her
"You brat! You absolute useless.. we made an exception! A mess that can barely earn us a buck." The boy spat out hitting her over and over again with the belt, crimson and thick red spilling from the wounds that opened.
Pain shot through the girl fast, too fast.. she couldn't move, she couldn't at all.. she tried to twitch a finger, no response, it's a reaction to long term abuse, it's become normal at this point...
She hissed
She cried
But she can't.. couldn't just move!
She stayed in place, the fear made her, in fact her body couldn't move.. letting the boy beat her up with a belt till some part of her clothes where bloodied as if she butchered a whole horse
The young boy's expression was barely emotional.
"Stupid girls can't even buy us anything." Her father barked out, slapping her cheek so hard it would've left a different colored mark
"Tch! Stupid girl cant even do something so useful." Her mother said, grabbing a fistful of her slightly bloodied hair, dragging her from her hair, her scalp burning, felt like it was being scrapped
It's.. fake.. that dream wasn't even real, I'm useless... Daydreaming in the middle of this
Dreaming something like this as if I'd -
"Kai!'

The sound snapped her up in a cold sweat
He was, under her, holding her so tightly as if she might cry or disappear if he let go
"He are you ok?.." he asked, wiping her wet cheeks
"You're crying Beloved," he said, softly.. it made her question if this was also a dream
"Dami.." Kai sniffled wiping her cheeks as she buried herself onto the man "Im so sorr-"
"No."
"What.?"
"You don't say sorry when it's your fault, Beloved.." He cupped her cheeks making the teary eyed woman look at him "Its not your fault, Got it?"
"Mhm.."
"I'm going to stay here until you're okay, You don't have a say so with this." He huffed pulling the girl close
It took her an hour, to settle, to stop the crying, the trembling, everything..
Her body remembered how much pain she endured, so much of it precisely that she couldnt speak a bit clearly
Damian was scared of it, he didn't know what was supposed to happen, hes been protective, to the point that everything he did was on autopilot, he didnt know why he was so soft, gentle, but he knew even if he didnt or did — He'd know what was happening within the day.
"What was that beloved? A nightmare perhaps?"
That made her go quiet.. she looked away pressing her lips into a thin line
Damian knew that look, he saw it on patrol and missions multiple times "Beloved, would you be fine if you headed to the kitchen first? I will follow you later, It's still early, Eat well here at the manor, would you? Stay the night again." He said.. hesitantly letting the woman go
Kai nodded sitting up from Damain, looking at her clothes, smiling a bit as she felt comfortable in the hoodie he put on her just a while earlier "Yeah.. thank you Dami." She said softly as she headed straight to the kitchen

The light was dim in the batcave, always was this dim but a particular waynes presence was making it much darker, the dripping of water somewhere around somehow made this scene a bit scarrier
Damian perched on top of the chair of the batcomputer, typing away, his blank stare glaring up from time to time, the man was mad, being a child of the best detective made him THAT smart to know what was happening, situations
Tim walked in the batcave, absolutely feeling the malicious intent that the younger boy was radiating "Heyy.. Dami?" He said sipping on his coffee with a slight gag of offense, the black coffee didn't have taste but it hurts for Tim, he didn't like the drink, but had to since he wanted to wake up. "whats going on there?"
"Crime." The younger boy stated blankly
"Wha-?"
"Crime was right under our noses!" Damian exclaimed, getting Dick's attention, he got back a while earlier, he was just nursing his tea Alfred had given them and possibly an injury or two with Jason in the med wing part of the bat cave
"Excuse me?" Dick started
"Abuse crimes! Pare-"
"Calm down demon, jeez! I know you dont like crime that much but who exactly was getting these abuse crimes?" Jason said as he dusted off his pants
"Kai."
"Kai..?" Tim added
"Yes."
"Your beloved Kai?" Dick also said quietly
"Yes.."
"The girl that you loved since you were young and with Talia Kai?.." Jason said covering his mouth.
"Yes! Do you people just know how many ideas i have to just do something to their fami-"
"Kai would hate that, you've been here for 10 minutes, shes been waiting for you, hurry up and think about this later, ok?" Tim ended as he pushed damian up
"Well stay here for a while, didnt even know the girl was here!" Dick sighed as he leaned back
"Tell Alfred id wanna get food.." Jason muttered leaning back

Kai was perched on the counter, being fed by the most delicious pancakes on earth!
Stephanie giggled as she grabbed a glass of water "The pancakes are SOOO good! Right Kai?"
"Mhn!" She nodded, absolutely INHALING the food given by Alfred, the best man in the world btw
Stephanie chuckled as she sat next to her at the counter "soo, what do you think about Damian ?" She asked
"I.. respect that man so much, hes smart.. he's so good with art, hes passionate, hes an admirable person hes.. i like him, i love him so much i just-" Her cheeks warmed ,its just the food trust,.. she puts her hands to her cheeks, feeling the warmness of it as she glanced down
"Woah... Shes inlove! I am SO so glad you are, im surprised it's Damian and not another, heard from him you're a childhood friend, can i ask to know whats your favorite part in that?" She gleamed patting the blushing girls shoulder
"I knew just days ago! I found out from a lot of thinking, that's why i felt that he was so so familiar! I- he was just so nice to me, he managed to visit the city for some time, i managed to get lost he found me, i respected him and earned a tiny crush, as a child back then he was so cool! And-" she blabbered off about Damian as she tapped the table counter
Stephanie smiled softly, knowing that she actually likes the boy, the boy that was an arabian prince to billionaire and actually sassed about it, the boy that tried to jan a batarang at jasons leg for finishing the pop tarts, that, and that confused her, he was so inlove and just, faithful ever since he saw you again.

Damian stayed near the kitchen, hearing her muttered and blabber about him, he clutched his chest as he looked down, the anger of feeling for her parents drowned from her talking
Jason and Dick snickered while they walked in the kitchen
"Good morning Damians beloved." Dick said as Alfred reached a plate for him, sitting down on the table "Is the manor comfortable?, i hope it is." He said stuffing his face with the fresh and hot food
Jason sat down next to him, trying so bad not to pick a fight with the man next to him, they were wearing something comfortable and to just cover their bandages—"Not everyday you get to sleep at the Wayne manor by the way, your chill eh?" He said grinning as Alfred set a plate Infront of him "Huzzah! Also, Damian get your ass here, stop blushing." He sighed quietly
"Tt." Damian scowled walking in the kitchen "i am not blushing, i do not blush."
Kai just nodded along, as if she didn't just confess to Stephanie how much she liked the boy "mhm.." She sipped on her black coffee Alfred had placed on the table near her finished pabcakes "Yeah, never seen him blush" She said, i dont think i ever saw him blush.. if i did i must have been asleep... She frowned tapping her heel on the chair she was sat on
Damian immediately went to her, smiling as he saw the ring on her finger, though the smile was for half a second on? Everyone saw, especially Alfred, which he nodded thoughtfully as he headed towards the kitchen for a warm plate of food for Damian
"Holy moly! He can smile!" Stephanie said, feigning shock as she puts her hand over her chest "thats so-"
"No." Damian sat next to Kai, which earned him a warm smile from her, oh how he felt his chest warm..
Dick barked out a laugh as he finished his food as quickly before the man beside him did
"How sweet." Jason said blankly, gagging dramatically at the affection in from of him "Eeww." He said with a snicker
"Oh shush Jason!" Stephanie giggled as they looked at the people infront of her "ahhh, let the love birds be!"
Kais cheeks flushed even more as she stuttered "we a..arent-"
"Yet." Damian said without hesitation, fully blown on making her well — his
"Oh golly.."
"Yeah, oh." Dick laughed as he stood up "be yourselves love birds!" He stopd up, grabbing jason by the scruff of his neck who was still stuffing his mouth with food
"Ghk- Bastard!"
"Too bad jaybird, we're going"
Jason just ate while being dragged by Dick to the livingroom
Stephanie giggled following them, probably going to talk for a while and head to her room to change out the morning jog clothes
Damians eyes settled solely on his beloved "you know you can tell me anything right?" He said as he gently rubbled his fingertips ontop of her ring "i know its been a while.. but, do you like the ring? Do i have to make any adjustments..?"
"No need Dami, i love it really.. i dont need to tell you anything because i dont have anything bad to tell" she smiled at him
That made him frown internally, why couldn't she tell him? I hope you hopefully tell me one day.. "i hope to bring you somewhere today beloved." He said as he wrapped his hand around hers
"A date then?" She teased half heartedly
"I suppose it is, A small sight seeing above the manor, i assumed you would enjoy that, would you?" He asked pulling the girl up. Grabbing a basket ofcourse, which dear Alfred prepared when he passed by earlier
"I absolutely would."

On top of the manor balcony, Kai held the basket of food and a few stuff "uh, is it really ok for us to be here?" She said as she balanced on the railings with Damian
"It is fine, Beloved."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Really- really sure..?"
"I am sure, i have been approved of father's words." He said as he pulled her up with him easily, she could've done it in a second without sweat but she couldnt just .. do it with him around because she might show her identity! , Golly! I want to just turn into the color red!
Damian put a cloth over the rooftop, making Kai sit with him, opening the badket, filled with food, making her eat a sandwich
"H-! I can eat just fine thank you." She huffed biting on the bread, smiling happily
"I know, but i also know you'd be shy to eat it all."
"All? You arent eating?"
"I ate before you did."
"Ahwe.. wait what did you even do earlier when i was in the kitchen with Alfred?" She asked munching on the sandwich
"... Library."
"Library? You guys have a library?!" She didnt even notice her glasses were askew, she barely needed them, but then again — its going to be confusing to them when i randomly stopped.. maybe id just lie about contact lenses some day —
Damian sighed reaching over to push her glasses up for her "it is the Wayne manor, isn't it?" He didnt smile, but his eyes softened enough for the spider instincts of hers manage to notice it.
"I guess, i normally just.. go to the kitchen, your room and the living room, i dont really explore much around here."
His eyes grazed over Gotham's city, the morning light gentle over the buildings, it seems to be that the city even wanted to have a warm light over the people for now..
The scenery was beautiful.. breathtaking even and that was from Kai, though she where able to wake up so early in mornings, she's couped up until it was time to go out, she didnt really care about the view back then because she knew how lighting worked with pictures and managed to take good photos .. until now, her gaze over the buildings with awe "Oh golly that is just.. beautiful.." she mumbled feasting on the food.
Damian nodded though he froze .. what the hell was..-
Her spine felt like it was licked.. spider senses — the sensation unconsciously making her look at where Damian was looking.. "A.. web?.." she breathed out, finishing her sandwich
"Spectra?—no. can't be.. theres no way she can be here this early, she may control webs but-" he cuts himself off his eyes slightly widened, that was a fraction of a second, he should be calm in situations like this, hes a vigilante AND an assassin, he was trained for this..
The sky turned back to gloomy, it would've been thought for a normal day again but how'd it be normal when gothams sky clearly had the fabric ripped like it was normal?!
Screams can be heard from the city, loud and most definitely confused..
"Golly.. My cat!" She exclaimed standing up, would've made her fall, but the sticking, eh- all he wondered what was wrong with the sky, it was ripped like it was from a multiverse type of crap,
"Really -? A cat?!" He reached to grab for her wrist but froze.. he also needed to go to the batcave and inform his father, but knowing that man.. he already knew "Tt, be safe ok?"
"I will!"
"..."
"I really will!"
"Promise?"
"I promise i'll be safe Damian, swear on.. uh.. my sketchbooks!" She rushed down the railings and went over to the inside of the manor and out with it. She wanted to use her webs so badly but, Damian was there..
Damian pushed his hair straight back with a few strands blocking his view. "Tt.." He went straight to the batcave's one of many entrances "Father!"
"Damian, get your suit on, investigate this with Dick, jason is on the other side of Gotham, he cant see this with the rest." Bruce said, already slipping in his batsuit.
"But Kai she-!"
"A cat.. really? Maybe a bit of a.. move but you know how the girl is, she's a good natured girl" he grabbed the batmobiles keys
"I have to.. shes my priority Father."
"Then have at it, first investigate, then go to her as Robin, or as Damian.. your choice."
"Fath-!"
Before he can take out the words Batman has already driven through Gotham's morning light already heading to the scene, thankfully it was early morning.. and not the afternoon one, that man would've had sun burns on his skin in the shape of the cowl-
Damian sighed slipping on his Robin suit with practiced ease "This is Unfortunately going to be a long day.." he put his domino mask as Nightwing has walked in wearing his suit
"Already mad that stupid web managed to crash the rooftop date little wing?" The older man teased as he settled his eskrima sticks in its place
"..."
"Oh come on! Dont tell me if its actually a person doing that your planning on killing them."
"I must keep that no killing rule father has drilled on me." He scoffed Crossing his arms as he looked up at the man
"Then lets go? I'm sure you'll be smiling the time the whole thing ended just for your beloved to be there, safe and all that."
"..."
"Thats a yes!"
