Chapter Text
Meanwhile, sequestered in the Afterlife of the Law of Cycles, a teal-eyed girl is shaking her girlfriend’s arm excitedly. “[plum], look! Marinette made dolls of us!”
[plum] squints, “That’s—not—hm. Isn’t that a shrine?”
A pause. Then, [teal] shrugs in acceptance. “I mean, that makes sense. We are dead, after all.”
“A shrine! Aren’t those for worshipping gods and stuff?” [plum] flushes, “…I dunno. It feels weird; Marinette shouldn’t be worshipping us just because we’re dead. She was dead for a while too, did she forget? Plus we were friends. Still are friends. Just...feels weird if she starts worshipping us or something.”
“I don't think that's what Marinette means. Shrines can also be for remembrance, you know.” [teal] scolds, “Besides, Marinette spent so much time and effort making this. She even built you a tiny functioning flamethrower!”
“I mean…” [plum] falters, still blushing. “...not saying the mini flamethrower isn't cool…”
“Aww,” [teal] giggles, poking [plum] in the arm. “Are you so flustered that you can barely form a coherent sentence? You’re so cute! Almost as cute as the doll version of you.”
“I—hey!”
“But don’t worry, Marinette. I’ll help [plum] confess just how touched she is by your love and dedication, through—this!”
“S—stop that! This is so unfair! Why is being tickled still a thing in heaven!?”
