Chapter 7: The Taste of Power
One evening, after a particularly grueling training session, Alaric handed Ron another tin of cookies.
"You’ve earned these," Alaric said, his tone warm but formal.
Ron opened the tin eagerly, the now-familiar smell making his mouth water. He devoured the first cookie, savoring the rush of energy that followed.
"Why do these work so well?" Ron asked, licking crumbs off his fingers.
Alaric’s expression remained unreadable. "They are specially prepared to suit your... unique needs."
Ron frowned but decided not to push. He trusted Alaric, even if the man was annoyingly secretive.
