The air felt suffocating as the seconds ticked by. He could feel the others in the room but he couldn’t see them.
This was all his fault if only he hadn’t tried to see what was happening.
He should have run
Now all of them are stuck waiting to be killed because of him
“ Hinata” He heard Suga's voice call as he prepared himself for the scolding he would most likely receive.
“ I can practically hear your thoughts with how glum your scent is. “ Suga laughed a little as Hinata felt himself get flustered
“ This wasn’t your fault we were bound to get captured it just so happens to be right now rather than later” Suga said before Kenma chimed in
“ It’s like a game where you sometimes plan to do something later but you're forced to do it sooner so you can keep advancing, “ Kenma said from the cell next to him.
“ Have you guys cut yourselves from the rope already?” Tendou asked
“ I thought they were going to tie us up differently “ Oikawa said
“Easy for you to say, I couldn’t reach my knife because that fucking asshole tied my fucking hands all the way up my back I swear I heard something snap. “ Atsumu said as he heard snickering
“ This isn’t funny. It's uncomfortable as hell “Atsumu complained before he felt his bonds come loose.
“ Thanks Akaashi “
“ Atleast I think it’s Akaashi “ Atsumu said turning around to where he felt the hands receding
“ Yea it me although you should have been able to free yourself easily even without your knife “
“ anyways how are we getting out of here” Atsumu asked steering away from the conversation Akaashi was trying to start
“ I say we bust out of here right now “ Tendou suggest
“ No way we don’t even know where the fucking door it “ Atsumu said shutting down the suggestion almost immediately
“ Calm down we need to think about this rationally they are probably expecting we break out so we need to plan this out strategically “ Suga explained
“ First we need to do something about the dark, “ Suga said, digging out his clothes to see if he could find his flashlight.
He heard rustling but paid it no mind until a light turned on next to him and he saw Tendou standing there holding a flashlight. The other handed it to him without another word. The others did the same one by one all of their lights flickered on illuminating that darkness they were left in.
Suga moved his light around in search of an exit. When he found a door near the direction Iwaizumi had left he found it was bolted shut. There was a small window which allowed for the people outside to look in but it stopped them from looking out.
He heard rattling as he pointed his flashlight towards the sound. Kenma was working on picking his lock but it seemed he was struggling. After fiddling with the lock for a moment longer it opens letting Kenma step out of his cell.
He looked around deciding who’s cell he should open first when the sound of loud footsteps caused him to return to his cell quickly making sure to lock himself in to avoid getting found out.
Multiple locks clicked open as the door swung open. Light poured in illuminating the room. Iwaizumi stood in front this time accompanied by the same people that had captured them.
It was silent as the soldiers moved diligently. Unlocking their cells and stepping inside. “ Why the hell are you un-“ a thud was heard from one of the cells as everyone quickly turned towards the sound.
Before they could react they found themselves getting attacked. Their prisoners were quick to disarm them leaving them weaponless as they fought to get the upper hand.
“ Watch those hands “ Oikawa said after Iwaizumi went for a risky grab that got him nowhere except more trapped.
Daichi went for a different approach. He tried to get the others' grip to loosen enough to throw them off. But Suga quickly shifted his weight allowing for Daichi to fall into his trap. Now Suga had him trapped on the ground.
“ Careful one wrong move and your arms gone” Suga threatened and Daichi groaned from the strain
“ Hinata you okay?” Suga called out after not hearing anything from Hinata cell
“ I’m fine he just caught me off guard “ Hinata explained
“ GET OFF ME “ Kageyama yelled pain laced in his tone
“ What was the point of this ambush “ Ushijima spoke waiting for Tendou to respond
“ to get out “ Tendou responded he had managed to pin the other down but was quickly over powered
“ I don’t see how it’s fair that you guys seem to have infinite strength “ Kenma complained after being tied up once mores
Kuroo went to leave the cell in hopes of helping the other before his trip on the end of a rope. When he pulled it he heard a latch release as he found both his legs bound by rope stopping him from leaving the cell.
“ Your clever” Kuroo said looking back at Kenma who was smiling
“ Get your filthy hands off of me” Atsumu whined as the other elbow dug into his skin
“ How did you manage to break free? Tell me “ Sakusa said pressing down harder as Astumu yelped
“ Like hell I’m going to tell you “ Atsumu responded coldly
Bokuto stood at the entrance of the cell unable to find who was supposed to be inside. As he turned around to alert the other he was knocked to the ground harshly, Akaashi landing on top of him.
Bokuto felt a knife press against his neck hard enough to draw blood. The room filled with the sounds of groans and hushed voices.
Suga leaned down whispering something in Daichi's ear before letting him go. Daichi stood still trying to process the words that were said to him. Suga just sat smirking slightly as the other rushed out.
Daichi moved quickly telling Iwaizumi that Suga had told him. The others' eyes widened as he quickly threw Oikawa off. He yelped as he hit the floor hard but Iwaizumi didn’t care. He walked quickly to Suga's cell, noticing the others smug expression.
“ You little shit “ Iwaizumi said but didn’t move closer as Suga laughed.
“ You didn’t think I was doing this without at least a couple tricks up my sleeve did you?” Suga questioned as he watched Iwaizumi just stare
“ Well what do you want?” Iwaizumi asked, hoping the demand wasn’t crazy.
Suga didn’t respond, instead he stood dusting himself off as he walked out of the cell. He went around to each of them. Helping anyone who had been pinned down.
Protest could be heard as Suga walked away from each cell, each of his friends following behind him. When he finishes rounding them all up they stand by the wall discussing something in hushed voices.
“ Do you really think giving them what they want is a good idea “ Daichi asked looking at Iwaizumi
“ we need to get that information to the king “ Daichi insisted but Iwaizumi shook his head
“ We can't, we don't know what he’ll do if we tell him “ Iwaizumi said remembering the way the other seemed smug about the fact he had given out without a second thought.
Like he knew it guaranteed victory
“ Well, have you decided? “ Iwaizumi asked, looking at them as the others stepped out staring at them confused. They didn’t understand why Iwaizumi was willing to give them whatever they wanted.
“ We want to be set free but that doesn’t seem to be an option so we’ll settle for this
You let us come and go as we please and we promise we’ll come back before midnight “ Suga offered
“ How do we know you won’t take the chance and run “ Ushijima said before Akaashi spoke up
“ Suna, we know he’s trusted by all of you he can come with us wherever we go “ Akaashi said and Iwaizumi seemed to be giving the offer some thought
“ that …… isn’t such a bad idea “ Iwaizumi said after thinking it over
“ He would help us get in and out but we can’t guarantee he won’t get hurt but we’ll try our best to keep him safe.” Atsumu said
“ Why the hell do you look like Osamu “ Bokuto said after staring at Atsumu for a minute
“ Bokuto you're kidding right?” Kuroo said staring at him in disbelief
“ What are you talking about and why is everyone staring at me like that?” Bokuto said looking around confused
“ We are twins, “ Atsumu said, hoping that was enough for the other. Bokuto's face flashed with realization before he rubbed the back of his head.
“ Is there anything else you wanted?” Iwazumi said knowing it was risky to offer them more freedom but he didn’t want to risk having anything being left unsaid that could later stab them in the back
“ We would like to help with security during the hunts “ Suga said
Iwaizumi opens his mouth to respond before Daichi taps him on the shoulder giving him a raised brow.
“We can’t let them do that it’ll just help them out in the end “ Sakusa said remembering their previous discovery
“ What security are you talking about?” Kageyama prompted hoping to get more information about their plans
“ We've seen first hand what happens during those hunts it disgusting and I don’t understand why this kingdom still does them it’s inhuman and cruel “ Tendou said staring at them
“ We would prevent anything bad from happening like forced marking, non consensual actions and death “ Kenma explained briefly
“ All you all do during the hunts is patrol the border and you don’t even do that well enough because we always managed to ge-“ Suga quickly smacked a hand over Hinata mouth to prevent him from babbling any further
“ That all we want” Suga said turning back to Iwaizumi arm extended waiting for the other to shake it
Iwaizumi turned back, waiting to see if anyone would object. “ We’ve got a deal “
“ We’ll try and get control over your wing of the prison so you can get in and out until then you have to stay out or else you’ll be dead before you even reach the front gates “ Daichi explained as Suga nodded
“ No promises they get angsty if there locked up for to long “ Suga said briefly looking behind him at Oikawa and Atsumu
“ 3 days and you can go out” Iwaizumi said before they heard the door opening again. They quickly moved around each of them going back into their cells as the alphas rushed to lock the doors acting like they were just leaving
“ Seems you all are doing well we thought something had happened “ one of the other guards said looking around his eyes narrowing
“ You rookies better not have done anything shady and if you managed to get any information reports to the king before you report back to your room “
“ Yes sir “Iwazumi said. They walked past him, each of them acknowledging him as they walked past. That guard followed them out, locking the door behind them.
“ You told them about that didn’t you Suga “ Akaashi said voice low
“ I thought you weren’t going to tell them that it was suppose to be out trump card “ Oikawa complained
“ We’ll be fine, look on the bright side we’ll be able to patrol the forest during the hunts “ Suga said before sighing as he rested against the cold wall of his cell
