Chapter Text
Chasca rose up from her chair, dropping the cigarette she was using to the ground. “I guess you could say… they had it COMING!” With the last part of her sentence, she stepped on the cigar turning it into a mush of ash.
“Ye-yeah they did have it coming!” Sucrose shot back.
One by one, the inmates rose up from their designated chairs chanting the same quote: ‘THEY HAD IT COMING. THEY HAD IT COMING. THEY ONLY HAD THEMSELVES TO BLAME. IF YOU HAD BEEN THERE. IF YOU HAD SEEN IT. I BET YOU WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME!’ over and over again, their footwear hitting the floor in sync. They seemed to be in a good mood.
None of them knew what came upon them but they knew that they had created a strong bond with their share experiences (even if some of them were worse than others)
Soon enough, the guards were called. Within the crowd of officers stood Lauma, silver handcuffs holding her hands tied together in front of her chest. Must have been tied up for scaring the other inmates in the dorms with her spirit form. But that didn’t matter as they all knew that she was the one to call the guards. “Oh you little bitch~” Chasca spat out while her hands were being tied.
One by one the other prisoners were escorted out of the room back to their cells.
“It was nice having you over ladies! You too Kaveh!” Chasca shouted
“You finally got my name right!” Kaveh exclaimed
“Let’s do this again like what next week?”
“Yeah, but this time at my dorm, what yall say?” Sucrose’s distant voice echoed
“Sounds good to me!” Kuki replied
“One agrees to the arrangement!”
“You too, Lauma” Chasca turned to the woman standing by her door, ready to head back to her own room, catching her off guard. Lauma stared back at her. “You might be a little bitch, but it was nice having your company”, her face softened and she was talking calmer than before. She wouldn’t admit it but the moon priest’s behaviour kind of reminded her of a special someone, always trying to keep her from being the wild girl she always was.
Lauma replied with a nod and a warm smile. “I’ll be happy to join you” she said, butchering a little bit the pronunciation.
Chasca was shocked to hear her speak in a language unfamiliar to the deer woman but was grateful to have made some new friends.
“I’m glad to hear that”
