Chapter Text
Epson stepped in front of Collie and Real Human. Ethos turned towards them. “Knife, Shenanigans go ahead and keep on walking; I don’t need help.” Knife took one step forward before being stopped by Shenanigans. “Our leader is literally a pathological liar, when they say they need help.” She whispered. Collie stood on his tippy toes and peeked over Epson’s shoulder.
“Do any of them have aura?” He asked, staring at the outlaws. “What’s aura?” Knife spoke up. “Aura is when you’re not cool.” Ethos answered. Epson sighed and straightened its back. “Outlaws, you are offically under arrest. If you don’t resist arrest then this will be way quicker than it needs to be.” It proceeded to print out a silver sword, how’s that possible we don’t know. The totally real truth teller (definitely not a liar at all) sighed and glanced down at the sword in Epson’s hand. “And how do you intend to keep me alive? After all, I am the world’s best and only truth teller.”
“The power of friendship-“ Collie said. “A bomb.” Real Human said at the same time, throwing down a potion with dull blue liquid inside. “Wh-“ Ethos’ voice got cut off as the potion hit the ground. A bright light filled everyone’s eyes. “What the fuck?!” An outlaw shouted. Collie suddenly tripped back, an arm wrapping around his mouth. “Everyone freeze!” The person behind him said. Epson froze in place, Real Human turned around with a potion in hand. The other two outlaws in front of them looked up. “Knife! Bad job, really bad job!” Ethos exclaimed, excited. The outlaw behind Collie held a knife in her free hand pointing it at his heart. “If any of you move, I’ll kill him, I'll do it!”
Collie heard fear in her voice. Must be new. He thought. “This isn’t very sigma of you.” He muttered. Shenanigans stood up, gunpowder dust scattered across her hands. “Good job, Knife! She’s learning so fast.” Ethos walked over to Knife and Collie, observing the kid. “I’m sure our Master will just hate you.”
“Ethos please, don’t hurt the kid.” Epson took a step forward which caused Knife to push the knife closer to Collie. “Knife, go ahead and don’t take him back to base. Shenanigans, don’t go with her.” The outlaws nodded and ran off with Collie. This is fine... He thought. Soon enough, Real Human and Epson were out of view.
After what seemed to be like a few minutes, the outlaws (and Collie) reached a large cottage. The frog from earlier was in Shenanigans’ hands (at this point that frog is immortal). Shenanigans opened the door and a flood of noise entered Collie’s ears. “Oi, Thingmajing, alert the Master!” An outlaw ran off into a different room while Collie was brought into a smaller room with a small kid inside.
“Ello! I Kid and I am this many years old!” Kid holds up five fingers. “And I’m older than you by this many years.” Collie holds up seven fingers, standing next to Kid.
“That cool!” Knife stepped in front of them. “Kid is the heir to Fretsy and you...” She looks towards Collie. “The Master said you’re important.
~This better not be like the interrogation scene again. Can’t believe those betas basically arrested me.~ “Now the Master will come in soon, make sure to behave.” Knife turned around and stood next to Shenanigans, who was standing near the door.
“I pretty sure I deathly allergic to Master. I allergic to pretty much everything.” Kid whispered to Collie. The door burst open and in stepped a person. The light hit their face and Collie saw that they were made of garlic bread. “Welcome! Welcome to the offical cottage for the Phoenix’s Ember.” ~That’s the ruler of the Meera.~ Collie realized, staring at it.
