Appletail made her way around camp. She wasn't really fond of how the water clung to her fur like a second pelt. It made it difficult to move when she already had smaller legs. Appletail regrets joining the new Clan, but she also believes it's probably too late to return to BlossomClan.
As she was wandering about the border on a patrol, she took in her surroundings with what senses she had available. Appletail was mostly deaf, she knew she couldn't hear most sounds the same way other cats could, so she tried her best with what senses she did have. She was born that way, so she has always been used to it.
After marking the border, she continued to wander along the beach, the sand sticking between her paws, tangling in her pale brown fur. Every now and then she would stop to shake off the irritating grains of rock.
Appletail smelled her old clanmates before she saw or heard them. The scent of Almondstar and a few others wafted out from the trees as the group practically waltzed onto the new clan's territory, completely ignoring the scent markers. Appletail turned to the group of warriors. "Can I help you?" She asked loudly.
"Appletail? what are you doing out here?" Almondstar asked Appletail calmly, but matching her loud voice to ensure the smaller she-cat could hear her.
"I'm on my territory. You are on my territory too it seems." The green eyed warrior stated.
"Your territory?" Bluespots questioned, her voice kept low and rude. Birdpatch nudged her as if to say 'knock it off'.
"Your territory?" Birdpatch echoed Bluespots much louder and more clearly, tilting his head.
Appletail nodded, flicking her tail towards her clan's camp. "Yes, my territory. New clan's territory. We have decided to break off from you."
Bluespots took a threatening step forward, Moonlight standing between her and Appletail to prevent any fighting.
"All cats who wanted to go were picked by Gingertail and decided to follow along. No one made them do anything." Appletail explained, speaking calmly, trying to keep Bluespots from lashing out.
"Liar!" Bluespots shouted angrily, her fur bristling.
"Please get off my clan's territory now." Appletail stated, glaring at the patrol. Almondstar nodded.
"I see, very well." She turned and went back to the trees, her patrol following her.
