Chapter Text

Hornet and Shakra continue to go through the building, listening to the strange Music that is being played before coming across a large room.

"This must be where the Music is coming from."

"Be careful Shakra."

Hornet walked into the room, while Shakra watches from behind. All of a sudden, the Entrance locks and Hornet looks up to see a figure playing an Organ. They appear to have Dark hair, but Hornet couldn't see the rest of them. They then slammed their Hands on the Organ before beaming down in white gas, readying themselves for combat. Hornet got a better look at them and realized they were made of Silk. Hornet had only encountered one silken being before this which was the Child Hornet has fought and encountered in Deep Docks and the Citadel. She figures the two of them were related so she decided to hold back a bit in this duel to not kill them as she is hoping to make them both true living creatures.

Shakra watched the battle from the sidelines, not able to speak to Hornet due to her being focused and the loud music being played. As the battle got more intense with the figure slamming downwards in white gas several times, Shakra noticed Hornet wasn't fighting as hard as she normally was. This was odd, why was she holding back in this battle when it's clear her opponent was trying to kill her? She'll ask Hornet this later. Soon enough, both combatants were on opposite sides of the room, ready for one more attack.

Hornet was Studying this creature's parrying ability for awhile during their fight, and now, she was ready to use it. She knew the Creature does three quick slashes after blocking an attack, but Hornet decided to do one hit so they can be knocked out instead of killed so Hornet can repair them as she noticed that, while this being was made of silk, the silk was deteriorating so she sought to repair it. After one quick motion she landed the parry and did one quick slash, knocking the creature out, but they were still alive. The gates opened and Shakra came in, Hornet knew Shakra had a lot of questions on her mind.

"Why were you holding back? And why didn't you kill them?"

"It's because I value all life that is not evil and This individual is definitely a good person as they are like another creature I came across and they are both made of Silk. I am hoping to help these two realize that just because they were made through unorthodox methods, they are still living bugs, so I seek to repair this one.

"I see, you really are a serious protector of life Hornet Wielding Needle!"

"I know, but this one feels different to me, this one is broken, their silk is deteriorating, and it felt like they could be fighting harder but wasn't, they almost remind me of-"

Hornet froze, the more they thought about it, this one reminded her of her sibling Hollow.

"Is everything ok?"

"..... I..... need some time to fix this one"

"Um, ok then?"

Shakra left and Hornet immediately got to work to repair this being. It took a lot out of her, but she has a lot of silk in her veins and a reserved bind so She thinks she has enough to repair them back to somewhat normal. Though, she had to act fast as this being could wake up at any time so she must hurry.

After several grueling hours that pushed Hornet to her limit, she finally finished and felt exhausted, but she couldn't pass out here so she slowly went to leave before a voice called out right as she saw Shakra.

"Wait!"

Though, it wasn't Shakra's voice. Hornet and Shakra looked back and saw the creature awake.

"Why did you repair me?"

Such a simple question and Hornet felt she had to hurry with an answer as she was starting to pass out.

"Be....cause........I............value........all...........life........"

Hornet collapsed to the floor before going unconscious.

Phantom looked at her Savior on the ground and a tall bug standing over her.

'Value all life? Why does she?'

The Tall bug picked up Phantom's savior and turned to leave.

"Hold on, can I come with? I feel like my mother doesn't have much influence on me anymore after these events."

"Sure thing, we have much to discuss. Names are given normally right?"

"Oh yeah, my name is Phantom"

"Nice to meet you, I'm Shakra wielding rings, but that's just how my tribe calls warriors, my name is just Shakra"

"I see, and as for my red savior?"

"Hornet Wielding needle"

"So I call her Hornet then?"

"Yes"

"I see, also, do you know how long it takes for her to wake up?"

"No, that's why I'm bringing her back to her home in bellhart."

"I see, I'm going to have to talk to her later about her decision to spare me, but that's for another time."

"Yeah, so are you following me to bellhart?"

"I guess."

The two warriors went left of the building as since Phantom isn't at the Organ anymore, the mist vanished so it was a quick track to Bellhart.

"I must ask you, how did you get to the Organ without going from this way as I set up a barrier called the mist to prevent anyone from getting there without inside help."

"I destroyed the wall to the right from Bilewater."

"Oh....... ok"

Phantom was surprised by that comment as she couldn't believe this bug was able to destroy a wall, but she does have strong muscles so I guess that makes sense.

The two finally made it to Bellhart and into Hornet's home to set her down to rest. As Phantom was about to leave, she looked back and saw Shakra not moving.

"Are you coming?"

"Someone has to stay here to explain to her what happened once she wakes up"

Phantom thought that Shakra could just wait outside, but after thinking about it and realizing what's happening she grinned.

"Oh, ok very well then, I'll leave now and go around bellhart to get a feel for the place"

Phantom exited the bellhome and prepared to start her new life outside the Exhaust Organ.

Shakra waited for Phantom to leave before going to sit on Hornet's desk and pulled out Hornet's Journal that she secretly took from her when she was unconscious and went through it before landing on the great Conchflies.

The Jounal entry read:

"To pair with another is a base instinct, and one that brings some bugs great joy. I once sought similar union, but of my own mates none could match my lifespan."

Shakra went wide eyed and then frowned, poor Hornet always watching the ones she loves grow old and die, but that doesn't matter to Shakra as if Hornet has her rings, she will never forget her.

Notes:

Thanks for Reading!

Yeah, Sherma can't realize the obvious signs that something is brewing between them.
