Chapter Text

Three years later…

The sun poured through the windows of their home, warm and golden.
Chaos reigned as usual: Ryo, now seven, and Haruto, five, were building a block tower that teetered dangerously near the edge of the table.
Hinata and Akemi, both three, were chattering and giggling, tugging at Kirishima’s shirt as he tried to keep them from toppling over.
Bakugo leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, jaw tight, eyes scanning every move like a hawk, but even he couldn’t hide the faint twitch of a smile.
Life was loud, messy, and unpredictable.
And somehow… perfect.

He stole a glance at Kirishima, who looked exhausted but radiant, hair messy and cheeks flushed from wrangling all four kids at once.
His chest tightened with pride, protectiveness, and something unbearably soft.

“I… can’t believe we pulled this off,” Bakugo muttered, voice low, watching Ryo carefully hand Akemi a block while Haruto tried to feed Hinata a cracker.

Kirishima laughed softly. “We didn’t just pull it off, Kats. We’re thriving. All of us.”

Bakugo’s eyes swept across his sons, his daughters, and then his mate, holding them together with that quiet, unstoppable strength he’d always adored.

“Yeah… yeah, we are. You… you’re incredible, Eiji.”

Kirishima leaned back, exhausted but smiling.

“And so are you, Katsuki. Every single day.”

Bakugo’s chest swelled.
He would protect them all.
Every day.
Every second.
And somehow, he loved them even more than he thought possible.

Kirishima guided Katsuki’s hand gently to his stomach, letting him feel the tiniest, almost imperceptible curve beneath his shirt.
He tilted his head, eyes twinkling with mischievous exhaustion.

“Oh… and one more thing,” Kirishima said softly, voice almost teasing, almost proud. “Looks like… we’re not done yet.”

Bakugo froze, heart hammering. “W-what… you’re… serious?!”

“I’m serious,” Kirishima said, smiling through the chaos, the mess, the love, the life they’d built. “Another little terror… coming soon.”

Bakugo’s eyes went wide, and he cupped Kirishima’s cheeks, pressing a quick, kiss to his lips. He pulled back, voice cracking with excitement “We… we’re gonna need a bigger house.”

Once, Bakugo had believed that alone meant free.
But in that moment, surrounded by four kids talking, giggling, and climbing over them, Bakugo realized: their chaos, their love, their mess… it was endless, unstoppable, and filling every inch of space he used to guard so fiercely.
He understood a simple truth.
This was the life he’d chosen.
And he wouldn’t give it up for anything.

Notes:

I hope you all enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing this. It was a slight obsession until it was complete - a wrote in the entire thing in like maybe 3-5 days. I've had it completed for a while, until I had some time to really edit and upload.

I love this one so much! I think I'm going to have to move it up on my list of ones to podfic, cause I'm literally obsessed with it ❤️🧡

Hope you enjoyed this first chapter
