Chapter Text
We are back with the moth, watching it fly back over the big houses and this time instead of going inside the house it goes past the window from last time and into the backyard. Instead of our normal three kids we see the three kids and four other people with them.
It's been two weeks since Timmy and BB found out how to help Milton. And that means it's been two weeks of Kelsey being under the discretion of BB and her hold over the book. But Kelsey has been sticking to their deal. And a couple days ago Kelsey told the three that she's ready to finally try the spell. After she told them they all planned to go over to Blake's house and try it out there.
Timmy, BB, and Milton are sitting farther away from everyone else talking to each other before Kelsey tries the spell out.
“Do you think guys this is going to work?” Milton asked.
Timmy lets out a sigh before answering Milton, “I hope. I don't think I've ever seen you with eyes. Or just you ever seeing me.”
“Yeah Milton! This will help you be able to see again,” BB says excitedly, “we can finally do jobs again! It's going to be amazing for you to be able to see again!”
Before they can start talking again they hear Trudy call out to them, “Kids we are ready, come on over!”
Timmy and BB look at each other then over at Milton grabbing his hand and dragging him over to the other group.
“Alright Milton," Kelsey says, walking forward grabbing his hand and leading him to sit on a bench with her, “I’m going to try now okay?”
Milton nods and closes his eyes, “Okay, I'm ready Aunt Kelsey. Do you think this is going to hurt?”
“I’m not sure Milton, I can't promise anything.”
Milton sighs and nods again, sitting still now, keeping his head down bracing himself.
The rest of the group stands far back BB and Timmy a bit closer watching Milton. Kelsey grabs both of his hands, holds them before looking down towards the ground and starts mumbling. After a bit she looks up and whispers at Milton.
“Cure blindness.”
In the blink of an eye Milton is on the floor screaming in pain, hands on his head near where his eyes are. BB goes to run up to him but is stopped by Francis and Blake’s hands on her shoulders. Timmy frozen in shock and maybe some fear. Trudy watching Timmy’s reaction ready to grab him in case he tries to run over. Francis and Blake are also standing in shock but needing to keep BB in place. And then Kelsey, she is sitting there looking down at Milton terrified, not sure what to do. Deciding to lean down and grab Milton, taking his hands away from his face.
“Milton?” A panic in Kelsey's voice, “Milton it's- its going to be okay. I'm right here.” She pulls him in close and starts rocking back and forth, “Im right here milton, Aunt kelsey is here you're not alone.”
Milton is sitting in Kelsey's embrace still squirming around with tears now streaming down his face. He was able to wiggle one hand out of Kelsey's grip to grab at his eyes. He pauses even though he's still in pain he whispers, “They are back.”
“What was that milton?” Kelsey whispers back, pulling him back a bit from where she is holding him.
Milton speaking up louder now, “My- my eyes Aunt Kelsey they are back.”
Kelsey pushes Milton fully away from her to look at his face, “What!” She gasps loudly bringing one of her hands up to Milton's face, “Oh my, Milton. Can you- can you see me right now?”
Milton groans trying to open his eyes and failing and deciding to try and squint one eye open. Waiting to see if there is just darkness or…. “I can.” Milton opens one of his eyes fully, “Aunt Kelsey I can! I can see you but it's blurry and it's not focused. I need my glasses, give me my glasses please, please.”
Kelsey fumbles for his glasses, letting go of his hands in the process, finally reaching them and handing them over to him.
BB and Timmy are still in the same spots. BB is fighting to get out of Francis and Blake's grip, but failing, and Timmy remains stuck in place.
Milton puts his glasses on and blinks a couple of times before fully looking at Kelsey. “It worked,” he whispers in shock, turning to look at BB and the others still getting used to the light again, “guys, it worked! I- I can see you! I can finally see you!” Tears start to prick at Milton's eyes again, except this time it's joy, not pain.
BB finally breaks out of Francis and Blake’s grip and runs over to Milton, dropping to her knees near him, not caring if they get cut up. BB grabs Milton's face and looks him in his eyes, sobbing, “It worked, oh Milton, I'm so glad it worked. Are you okay? Are you still in pain?”
Milton smiles looking at BB taking her all in not remembering the last time he even saw her, "I'm okay BB. I'm just so happy”
Milton with his now working eyes looks over at the rest of the group. Seeing Francis looking almost the same except he's missing a leg now? Then looking at the man next to Francis, thinking that must be Blake, his voice definitely fits what he looks like. Then looking at Trudy she looks the same but she's standing taller now, and finally the person in front of her. Tall, a bit lanky and ginger.
“Timmy?” Milton whispers.
Timmy, finally moving, stumbles a bit as he starts running, crying as he is rushing over to them, falling to the ground near then pulling Milton into a hug.
“Yes I’m Timmy, this is how I look, but Milton” Timmy leans back a bit still crying, “you can finally see again.”
Timmy pushes himself back into Milton's embrace grabbing for BB to join them.
As the three are now in their little huddle crying we see a moth, with the same grey wings, black line, and white spots, fly away. Leaving the group to what they are doing seemingly done with watching them.
