Chapter Text
“You sure you’re okay with this, kid?” Death Arms asked.
Back before they left for the mission, Himiko asked Kyoka about Death Arms. She explained that Death Arms seemed like an intense guy, but he was actually really friendly, always looking out for civilians.
“I’m fine.” Himiko said.
Already they had caught Slidin’ Go, Thundering, and Venom Bite. Thanks to Ragdoll regaining her quirk, she was able to pinpoint their exact location and launch surprise attacks. So far, there were no mistakes.
“You can hang back on this one. You don’t need to do this.”
“Yes I do. I have to look her in the eye.”
AnnieMorph was on her rounds. She didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. So far, everything was going without a hitch. Death Arms looked at her, and then nodded.
“All right, kid. I mean, Himiko.”
They split up, following the instructions from Ragdoll. Death Arm’s sidekicks were removing citizens from her path. Himiko waited, hidden. AnnieMorph turned the corner. She walked without a care in the world. Like she didn’t care about all the people she hurt. Himiko didn’t know how she could do this.
Himiko stepped out of the shadows, into view.
“Oh...” A look of panic passed through her eyes, before it vanished. that’s when Himiko knew. She saw. She saw the other her. “Himiko. It’s been a while. Sorry I couldn’t get you for the Work Study. What are you doing here?”
“How could you do it?” Himiko asked. “How can you join Meta Liberation Army?”
AnnieMorph sighed. “You know, the other you was a lot more reasonable. She understood. The world needs to change.”
“She’s insane.”
AnnieMorph laughed. “She’s insane? You don’t understand. You think heroes are good? They abuse the system.”
“You say that, even though you’re the one abusing the system.”
“It’s a necessary sacrifice. You know, I can introduce you. Hell, I’ll even help you get rid of that copy for you. I know you’ll be a lot better than her, being more durable.”
“That’s not going to happen.” Death Arms grabbed her from behind. “You and the rest of you traitorous scum are going to be locked up. But thanks for the confession.”
AnnieMorph didn’t even fight back. It was a shame. Himiko really was hoping for the opportunity to stab her through the chest.
Himiko watched as Death Arms loaded AnnieMorph into the prison transport.
He’s coming. A voice said. It... it wasn’t talking to her. Stop him. The Blow-back will soon begin. Himiko was hearing half a conversation, but it wasn’t talking to her. We don’t have long to speak. Freed from the shackles of humanity, his power now swells. A transcendent one... is coming.
“Something’s wrong.” Himiko said.
Death Arms turned to her. “What is it?”
Izuku. That’s what this is about. “Something’s about to happen at the hospital.”
“They got plenty of Pros.”
“It won’t be enough.”
Izuku was the only one strong enough to deal with Shigaraki.
“How do--“
“Just get the word to Mandalay.” Izuku said. “Once it happens, you’ll believe me. Then we’ll move.”
Death Arms glared at her. Then he touched the earpiece in his ear. “Mandalay. Himiko here thinks somethings about to happen at Ja--“
“Jakku hospital has been destroyed! I don’t know what happened. It... it just disintegrated! And it’s spreading. Half the city is... gone.”
“How--“
“Got to go.”
Himiko adjusted her Blood Collection Device. She worked hard for this. Working hard to make sure all of the people she loved also loved each other. And they do. In their own ways.
Engines came from her legs, bumps appeared over her fingertips, and her palms started to sweat. Ingenium, Uravity, and Katsuki. She was male, Chaco’s pretty hair, but spiked up like Katsuki. Her body most resembled Tenya.
Himiko placed her hand on her chest, removing gravity. She floated into the air. Jaku was several cities away. This was the only way she could get there in time. She rose. Higher and higher.
She placed her palms behind her, activated Reciprico and unleashed multiple explosions. With gravity not affecting her, she could fly ahead of the ground. Katsuki’s and Tenya’s quirks giving her speed. She flew. Faster. Faster. She became a comet. She had to save Izuku.
“Hang on.” Said the Hero. “Didn’t you capture Toga and Compress?”
Himiko cut his throat. In the time it took for the others to realize something was wrong, Himiko killed the entire squad.
They killed Jin. Himiko thought.
Himiko used her skills to evade and strike at the heroes. What was a battle in their favor turned against them as Himiko slaughtered. Twelve heroes died under her blade alone, the Liberation Army rallying around her. She didn’t care about them. She killed them if they were in her way just as much as the heroes.
“It’s hard to keep living.” Toga said, as she killed, “I want a word where I can live nice and easy. A world with just the things I loved. But you heroes mess everything up.”
She killed two more heroes. It was self defense. The heroes would kill her. She didn’t even know how she was still alive. Jin was dead. Without him, how could she still... be?”
A hand broke through the concrete from the cellar. Gigantomachia was awake. Himiko didn’t really care. She just wanted to kill the heroes. Unfortunately, Gigantomachia had orders. He grabbed her, as well as Spinner and Dabi. Dabi also made sure to grab Skeptic for some reason.
Himiko considered running. Just leaping off of Gigantomachia into the biggest pile of heroes until they were all dead, or they killed her. It was Spinner’s hand on her shoulder that stopped her. She considered killing him. She loved him, didn't she?
Mount Lady was battling Gigantomachia. As the only one even close to his size, she was the only one capable of actually fighting him, but it wasn’t much of a fight. Gigantomachia threw her aside. Though Himiko knew that wouldn’t deter the heroes.
“Keep an eye out.” Dabi said. “If they think of a way to stop Machia, we could be in trouble.”
Himiko watched Miss Midnight, approaching Machia’s face. She considered letting her. Let her put Machia to sleep, so that Himiko could just kill rather than ride on the monster to whatever he was ordered to do. Instead, she pointed her out to Dabi. Dabi sent a torrent of flames, burning through Kamui Woods’s body.
Still, it wasn’t enough to stop Miss midnight, who was flying through the air.
Mr. Compress threw several marbles at Miss Midnight and, with a snap of his fingers, massive concrete debris took Miss Midnight down. Himiko watched with a bored expression. She wished she could have talked to Miss Midnight. But no. There was only one person she could talk to. One hero who might not want to kill her.
