Chapter Text
Kirishima and Denki hurried through the corridor with the rescued teen supported carefully between them. When they turned the corner, they nearly ran straight into Mina and Momo.
Mina’s eyes widened the second she saw the blond boy in Kirishima’s arms.
“Oh my God… you weren’t kidding,” she muttered in disbelief.
“Yeah, we weren’t,” Kirishima replied, breath tight with urgency. “But we really need to get out of here.”
Momo nodded immediately, already shifting into leader mode.
“Right. Let’s meet up with the others and evacuate. The rest of the children are already being escorted out.”
Together, the student heroes rushed toward the rendezvous point.
When they arrived, Izuku, Ochako, and Iida were already there, scanning anxiously for the rest. The moment Ochako saw them, relief flooded her face.
“Oh, thank goodness—you’re all okay!”
Kirishima gently lowered the blond teen to the ground, careful not to startle him.
Izuku stepped forward slowly, like he was afraid the moment might shatter if he moved too fast. His eyes were already shining with unshed tears.
“…Kacchan,” he whispered.
Katsuki looked up at him.
Then, slowly, silently, his lips formed a single word.
D… e… k… u.
The dam broke instantly.
Izuku collapsed forward, wrapping his arms around him as tears spilled freely down his face.
“You’re alive… you’re really alive,” he choked out. “Your mom is going to be so happy.”
For a brief second, hope filled the space around them.
Then—
screams echoed from the hallway behind.
Everyone turned sharply.
A group of armed agents rushed toward them, boots pounding against the floor. Katsuki’s body tensed in pure instinctive fear, and he stumbled backward, trying to retreat behind Kirishima.
The agents stopped a few steps away and parted down the middle.
One man walked calmly through the opening, smiling like this was all a casual visit.
“Ah, Katsuki, my dear… please stop with all your drama,” he said lightly.
Kirishima moved without thinking, pulling Katsuki fully behind him, hardening his stance.
The man tilted his head.
“Hmm… Katsuki, dear. Come here.”
Katsuki shook his head.
The smile didn’t fade—but something colder slipped underneath it.
“…Alright. You do you,” the man said with a shrug as he turned away.
Then, without looking back—
“Kill them.”
The agents surged forward.
---
Elsewhere in the facility, Aizawa’s head snapped slightly toward the distant noise.
“What was that?” he asked.
“Oh, probably our dear agents dealing with your dear students,” Dabi answered lazily.
Mitsuki’s eyes sharpened.
“Didn’t know the League supported child trafficking.”
“Ugh, we already told you—we didn’t know until you heroes showed up whining about it,” Toga complained.
Mitsuki’s gaze shifted to the winged man standing near Dabi.
“And who’s the guy with wings?”
“None of your business,” Dabi said flatly.
“Is it ‘none of our business’ because he’s glued to your side right now?” Aizawa added dryly.
The winged man suddenly straightened with dramatic enthusiasm.
“Ah! It’s an honor to meet you, Shadow Weaver. My name is Hawks, and I’m a huge fan.”
“…Thanks,” Aizawa muttered, unimpressed. “I think.”
Hawks glanced upward, expression shifting with faint concern.
“Wait… are those kids seriously about to die?”
“Yes,” Dabi replied without hesitation. “They’re a pain.”
Hawks sighed, clearly disappointed, and stepped away.
“Where are you going?” Toga asked.
“To help the poor kids,” he said simply.
And then—he vanished in a blur of feathers.
Silence lingered for half a heartbeat.
Mitsuki slowly cracked her knuckles, flames flickering faintly at her skin.
“Now… where were we?”
“You’re not people we need to keep alive,” Aizawa said, a rare, dangerous grin pulling at his mouth.
Shigaraki snickered.
“What, you gonna use those beautiful god-like powers on us?”
“Nope,” Aizawa replied calmly.
“Just this.”
A massive sword formed in his grasp—nearly as tall as he was, its presence heavy with quiet power.
“…Let’s just end this,” Dabi muttered.
“I’m going to help the kids,” Mitsuki said, already turning away. “I don’t trust that bird guy.”
As she walked off, Aizawa stepped forward, blade angled toward the villains.
“I’ll give your boyfriend my condolences, Dabi,” he said coolly—
and then he charged
Kirishima hardened his body the instant the agents raised their weapons. Sharp impacts struck against him, but he held his ground, shielding the others without hesitation.
Behind him, he felt Katsuki gripping tightly to his back.
Then he noticed something else—warmth gathering in Katsuki’s hands, faint but real.
“Katsuki… do you think you can use your quirk?” Kirishima asked gently.
There was a pause.
A long, uncertain moment.
Then Katsuki gave a small nod.
Kirishima couldn’t see it, but he felt the shift as Katsuki slowly lifted a trembling hand toward the agents.
Before anything could happen, the agents suddenly collapsed, as if struck by an unseen force.
A single red feather drifted through the air and landed softly in front of the students.
Izuku stepped closer, staring in confusion.
The feather shimmered—
and in its place stood a man with wide crimson wings.
“Angel,” Katsuki whispered.
Everyone froze.
Because he had spoken.
Startled by the attention, Katsuki shrank back behind Kirishima with a quiet whimper.
“Sorry,” Momo murmured before looking back at the stranger.
The winged man laughed lightly.
“Thank you, but I’m far from an angel.”
He stepped forward, voice calm and warm.
“Are you kids alright?”
“Yes… who are you?” Izuku asked.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Hawks,” he said with an easy smile.
“Are you a new hero?” Denki asked hopefully.
Hawks chuckled.
“Oh—no. Not exactly.”
A brief pause followed.
“I’m with the League of Villains.”
Every student tensed at once.
“Hey, relax,” Hawks said quickly, raising his hands. “I’m not here to fight you. I just didn’t like what those agents were doing.”
Before anyone could respond, a wave of ice swept across the wall and locked Hawks in place.
“Seriously?” he sighed, only able to move his head.
“Sorry… I don’t really have a cool line prepared,” Shoto admitted quietly.
“KIDS!”
They turned to see Mitsuki running toward them.
“We’re okay!” Izuku called.
“Thanks to me,” Hawks added. “Now… any chance someone could let me out?”
“You’re still a villain,” Momo said firmly.
“…Sorry,” Mina whispered.
“Cool wings,” Katsuki murmured faintly.
Mitsuki stopped cold.
Her breath caught.
“K-Katsuki?” she whispered, tears already forming.
Katsuki nodded, still holding onto Kirishima.
The moment she reached him, he let go—
and she pulled him into a tight embrace, both of them overcome with emotion.
When they finally separated, Katsuki quietly moved back beside Kirishima, holding onto him again.
Mitsuki let out a soft, tearful laugh.
“Alright… let’s head out.”
She glanced back briefly.
“Whatever you’re planning, it won’t work. Shouta is already dealing with the others.”
Hawks tilted his head slightly.
“…I wonder if you’d say that after knowing the full story.”
Shoto frowned. “What do you mean?”
Hawks only looked away.
“…Nothing you need to worry about right now.”
“Let’s go,” Mitsuki said, guiding the students forward.
Meanwhile…
Shigaraki faced Aizawa across the damaged room, tension thick in the air.
“Go on,” Shigaraki called out. “Finish it.”
Aizawa landed lightly from above, expression unreadable.
“…No.”
Instead, his attention shifted elsewhere, concern flickering beneath the calm. Something felt wrong.
Toga notice Dabi was backing away towordw the exit and moved in to block him, “Are you worried about something?” she asked.
“…Yes,” came the quiet reply as Dabi stepped back, "I need to check on him", Dabi said and Toga let him leave, love is a powerful thing.
Shigaraki tried to keep Aizawa there, but the fight had already changed.
This wasn’t about winning anymore.
It was about the students.
“You won’t go through with it,” Shigaraki said, voice uneven. “You still see me as that scared kid from before, and thats good cause it means you'll watch in agony and guilt as I kill every single one of your students, and you won't do anything about it, exept watch".
Silence followed.
“You sound like Father,” Aizawa said quietly.
Shigaraki’s expression twisted. “Don’t say that.”
A long breath left Aizawa’s chest.
“…You’re not my priority.”
He turned away.
“Where are you going?” Shigaraki demanded.
“To check on my students,” Aizawa answered simply as he walked off.
Toga watched him leave, confused.
“We’re just letting him go?”
Shigaraki didn’t answer right away.
“…Yeah,” he said at last, something heavy in his voice.
“He was always like this.”
