Chapter Text
Chapter 5 ,
After a few minutes of starting at the ground as the bugs moving around the cracks of the stone floor. Luffy looked pale his eyes were puffy and faint crying streaks were still a bit visible .
All he could do was just stare as the bugs moved in and out of the room. He had tried calling out to his brothers but it didn’t work. All of the failed attempts made Luffy feel helpless and lost.
‘ Why us. Why did have to be us..’ Luffy pondered as he brought his eyes towards his unconscious brothers. Ace and Sabo looked paler but not as a pale as Luffy. Luffy’s stomach had been growling nonstop.
They hadn’t been able to have their dinner since they were looking for pipes in the morning. Luffy brought up his eyes towards the ceiling, trying to ignore the rumbling sounds coming from his stomach .
Luffy could see the little droplets of water falling in the corner of the room. He had gotten a bit bored of watching the bugs just roaming around, being able to leave without having a heavy seastone chain on their ankle, being able to leave this god forsaken room.
He hated the feeling the chain on his leg. It made him feel so tired and sleepy. He hated it so much, he could feel with every breath and blink that he was getting more and more sluggish every minute in this disgusting room.
Luffy looked back to his brothers. We wondered what the men did to them. What could they have done to make his brothers look so, so, awful. It broke his heart seeing them like this. So he turned his eyes away to start tracing the lines in the cracks of the stone floor, and accidentally picking off the dirt in them.
The things Luffy wanted the most was to just hug his brothers and leave this awful room. And to eat. Luffy was starting to get really, really hungry.
But Luffy couldn’t do anything but just stare as the bugs moved around his feet or just look at the droplets falling to the cracked stone floor.
‘ I wonder if DanDan is looking for us.’ He wonder as he was tracing the cracks on the ceiling with his eyes.
Luffy then brought his eyes back to his brothers. As soon as he looked at his brothers faces. Their faces that looked so different from the proud faces that they would normally wear, he felt guilty just as fast as blinking.
Luffy decided that he wanted to get closer to his brothers, as close as the chain would let him. He crawled a bit closer towards his brothers. He could feel the harsh stone floor scraping against his knees feeling like sandpaper. He could hear the his chain from his ankle moving as he did.
As he reached as close as he could towards his brothers side. He saw how vulnerable they were, seeing his brothers tied up and unconscious. That itself broke his heart. But right now he had to try again to wake at least one of his brothers up.
“ACE , SABO WAKE UP!!!” Luffy tried calling out for his brothers with all the energy he could muster before he felt a bit weaker from the seastone chain from his ankle once again.
And just as before.
It didn’t Work.
His throat burning from all of the failed attempts to wake them up.
He wondered what they could’ve have to done to his brothers. Luffy was now cringing at himself as he recalled how he got kidnapped in the first place.
After one of the men had grabbed Luffy they had put something in his face which made him drowsy and made him feel foggy. And after that he kept going in and out of consciousness until they decided he needed to stay ‘ asleep ’ for a while. As Luffy was remembering how he got caught he then slowly brought his knees up then he put his head down to his knees.
He heard a grumbling sound, then he remembered he was hungry.
Luffy was so hungry.
Trying to forget about his loud and rumbling stomach he tried to to remember all of the fun times he had with his brothers in the forest with the bandits.
Remembering all the times that they would pull pranks on DanDan.
Remembering all of the times that they would fight giant animals.
Remembering all of the times that they would spar against each other.
Luffy giggled a little reminiscing about the memories. Crying a little without realizing it
“Shishishishi!!” Luffy fell on his back as he was clutching his stomach from pain while he laughed.
“ YOU LITTLE BRAT!!!” DaDan yelled as she was now drenched in cold water laced with coloring.
DaDan now looking like a rainbow and Luffy looking like he was dying of laughter.
Sabo and Ace were now laughing as they saw a rainbow DaDan beating up a little Luffy still laughing.
Just as he was remembering all of the great times prancing DaDan,he realized he was lonely.
Luffy had no one to talk to. No one to laugh with right now. No one. Luffy was alone no one being able to help him see the once shining light he saw everyday.
Luffy missed being outside he missed beating up animals for dinner. On the thought about dinner he remembered how hungry he was.
Luffy wanted someone, anyone to be able to talk to or maybe even be able to eat.
But what he wanted the most was to see his brothers awake and to help him.
