Chapter 1: A Journey of a New Kind
The Jacobs looked on in shock at the frog before them, just as they were about to ask Kermy to repeat what he had just said, before they could even mutter a word, a booming voice was heard all across da island, “The council summons you forth, Jacobs. Come now.” The Jacobs then glanced at one another before sprinting toward the Clover Council.
In the far past, the Clover Council was assembled to protect the people of da island from the outside world, and along with the creation of the Clover Council came a special position, the Sargent Diddler, explorer of the unknown, protector of knuckles, and the one who was cast out of da island to find Da Queen, the previous Sargent Diddler Jacob #2’s dad now lost to the waves of the sea having set out from da island when the Jacobs were freshly hatched his position has remained vacant ever since.
“Jacobs, step forth,” a dark voice commanded. The Jacobs hesitantly walked forward, and as they approached the round table hold, they knelt on one knee. “Do you guys know why you're here? We must ask of you an important question:” The Jacobs then sent glances at each other as they nervously awaited their call. “Do you know da way…” the voices asked in unison. “No, we do not know da way.” The Jacobs replied, lowering their heads in fright, for no one on da island truly knew da way and hadn’t for a long time, and to be asked such a question could only mean one thing.
“Go find da way, Jacobs!” exclaimed one of the masked council members, but just as soon as they made that remark, the great head boomed “QUIET.” All the chatter in the grand hall snapped silent as the head of the council roared, “We have not cast out a knuckle since our last grand Sargent Diddler. What makes you think we’ll send these poor knuckles who have barely reached age out into the unknown!?” The masked member who shouted initially flung their mask off as they cried out, “They are our only hope, Ms.Gober.” Behind the mask was a mature-looking knuckle with long, lush brown hair and big brown eyes. She wore a striped sweater with yellow, blue, and white. “We can’t afford to wait any longer; it's statistical suicide! The odds are not in our favor.” Ms.Gober soon followed her lead and flung her cape to the side, revealing voluptuous shoulder-length hair and eyes that look to have seen the evils of the world.
