“So how did you sleep last night?” Chara asked.
“I didn’t.” Clover said bluntly numb of any emotions in their voice.
“Clover… You didn’t sleep?” Chara asked approaching Clover and seeing the eyes that were once full of joy and life now dull and numb to emotion.
“Do you want to go to the park?” Chara asked and saw some joy return to their eyes and knew that Clover thought they were getting back together. Chara felt like the worst person in the world for doing what they were about to do.
“Not like that Clover.” Chara says and seeing the brief instance of hope replaced with heartbreak and disappointment.
Clover started crying again. They wanted to believe once that Chara would be theirs again and they would both forget this ever happened.
“No Chara. I won’t go.” Clover says.
Clover walks back up to their room and cries into their pillow. Chara follows them up and sits down on their bed next to them.
“Don’t cry Clover. Everything will be okay soon I promise.” Chara says.
“It won’t be without you.” Clover says. Chara then slowly wrapped their arms around Clover.
“What are you-”
“You’re tired. You are going to sleep.” Chara says.
“But we’re broken up-”
“I take it back.”
”That’s not how that works Chara.”
“Who’s going to stop me.” Chara says. Clover knew when Chara was this stubborn nothing would change their mind.
“Can ya apologise?” Clover asked.
“I’m really sorry for all of that Clover. I should have never doubted our future and made such a stupid decision.” Chara says.
“I forgive you.”
“Thank you.” Chara says before they kissed.
They never doubted their relationship ever again.
