Chapter Text
Five o'clock in the morning, before being taken to Pittsburgh's Trauma Center.
[Name] wakes up to sound of 404 (New Era) by KiiKii, her chosen alarm. She lets out a soft grunt of annoyance, rolling over in her bed. She hits at her alarm clock a few times blindly, before eventually getting the alarm to shut off.
She lets out another soft grunt, melting into her bed. She takes a few deep breaths, silently cursing her alarm for waking her. It takes her a few moments before she's awake enough to force herself to get up out of bed.
She slides on her pastel purple slippers, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She sleepily makes her way out of bedroom, into the kitchen. She flips on the light, opening the fridge: where she proceeds to scan over her ingredients for a long moment. She eventually decideds to grab the strawberries and make herself some toast.
Once she had finished breakfast, and cleaned up the dishes it caused, she makes her way into her bedrooms connected bathroom. She splashes her face with cold water, waking herself up the rest of the way. She then grabs her toothbrush and toothpaste, giving her teeth a quick once over.
She proceeds to go through her preferred skin routine; washing her face, light exfoliating, toner, moisturizer, and an spf 50 sunscreen. Once she is done with that, she goes through her haircare routine as well. In which she; combs her hair, adds in a leave in conditioner, and ties her hair into a ponytail.
She then moves into her bedroom, where she picks out her outfit for the morning. It takes her a moment but then she decides on black leggings, grey thigh high socks, a white t-shirt, black fingerless gloves, and a black zip up jacket.
Once changed into the outfit, she grabs her phone, black bluetooth headphones, and ice rink bag. Shs slides on her tennis shoes and grabs her white iceskates before making her way to the rink.
Once she arrives at the rink, she places her dufflebag on the bench nearest the ice and sits down. She quickly trades her tennis shoes for her skates. She connects her phone to her headphones and digs out her water bottle out of the bag.
She makes her way out onto the ice, putting on her warm up playlist, which consists mainly of feel good and energetic Pop and Kpop. She puts her phone into her back pocket before beginning to warm up. In which she does simple jumps and warm up laps.
As soon as she decides that she is prepared enough, she makes her way to the middle of the rink. She pulls out her phone again, shifting the music from her playlist to the song she chose for her freeskate program. The song in which she had chosen being 808 HYMN by Erin LeCount.
Once she has the music cued up and started, she begins her program. She begins with a step sequence which includes a sit spin, into a salchow, into another step sequence. She then adds in a triple lutz into a triple toe loop during the chorus. She then does another step sequence during the second verse which includes a camel spin. When the ending chorus hits, she takes off into a triple axel, before ending off with an upright spin.
She runs through her program a few more times before deciding to try something that she probably shouldn't have. 'What if,' she thought to herself, 'what if instead of a triple axel, I did a quad axel?'
With that thought in mind, she runs through the program again. She reaches the spot where she wishes to try a quad axel. She jumps. And all hell breaks loose.
She doesn't jump quite right, one of her skates slices through her left shin, and she falls hard onto the ice. She skids across the surface, her headphones fly off her head landing who knows where, her blood leaving a gut retching scene on the slick surface.
For a long moment, she just lays there in shock. But then the pain and panic hits worse then a bunch to the gut. Her breath hitches in her chest and the world begins to spin. Her hands trembling like leaves in a tornado.
She fumbles around for a moment before getting her phone out of her pocket. She quickly turns off her bluetooth and dials 911. While she waits for someone to pick up, her gaze begins to darken.
"911, what's your emergency?" She hears very faintly coming from her phone, which has somehow ended up on the ice besides her.
"Help," she just barely croaks out before the world goes dark.
