Chapter Text
Ah yes, spin the bottle- a game where many fall in love, find a new fling or end up with an itchy coldsore. The very same idiotic game Sukuna is currently being dragged into, those sharp red eyes rolling so far past his skull that he can probably see his own brain.
"I don't wanna fucking play spin the bottle, Gojo. Who even likes stupid games like these?"
While his tone is annoyed, it also holds a subtle tinge of disappointment because this game is a physical barrier blocking him from the one girl that has his heart racing like no other. Previous bangs in his chest evaporate, Sukuna's heart now dulls into a low hum, and cracks open into small longing shards. Withdrawal symptoms have actually gotten a hold of him, and they can only be satisfied by you- the drug he has just discovered tonight.
"Come on Sukuna, quit whining. It'll be fun!"
Satoru is a brilliant innovator when it comes to making that angry vein pop out of his friend's forehead. The white-haired bastard really works magic when it comes to pissing him off. Honestly, does he get paid for this shit? With how good he is, one would assume he does. A pair of fists ball on either side of his body, mouth opening to bark an insult at Gojo before Toji speaks up.
"Look man, maybe that girl you were eyeing up wants to play too. Then you have a chance with her."
The pink-haired brute parts his lips in protest, however, his voice box seems to fail the minute his mind processes that this idea has potential. Lips shut, open once more, then close again. His bro is actually being... smart. A homeboy that isn't Suguru actually mentioned something intelligent. Oh, the smirk automatically spreads across his face, oozing in excitement.
"Alright lets play."
"Dang look at you, so love-stricken and eager!"
"Gojo count your da-"
The man's vision sweeps onto you and latches on with all his might. Even through the dozens of drunken peers rushing to play spin the bottle, he manages to keep his eye on you especially, watching as your friends drag you along. As usual, you don't look particularly interested at all; party games that involve smooching aren't the most thrilling in your opinion. Concerningly, he's even reading your lips replying to your homegirls' enthusiastic remarks, watching you say something along the lines of 'whatever'.
Life is throwing him the biggest opportunity ever in disguise of a nasty frat party game.
Everyone sits around in a circle, the centre being marked by an empty beer bottle. Anticipation lingers in the air as if it's a strong perfume, but you suddenly have asthma. There's a pretty even split of boys and girls, each giggling with their friends beside them. Sukuna is sitting on the other end of the circle, discreetly staring at your interactions with your friends.
"I don't like this circle. It's crowded. Lets go."
"No girl, come on. It'll be funnn! Live a little!"
Your friend pleads, the other girl beside you nodding eagerly. Somehow, you can never say no to your friends, even if you believe with your whole heart that they're being very silly right now. What about kissing a random loser sounds fun? What if you get a disease? Even worse, a crush? The horror of all the possible outcomes has you shuddering.
A hand reaches for the bottle, applying enough force to have it spinning for a year. All eyes are glued stuck onto the little glass flask, an out-of-tune symphony of groans and cheers sounding once it lands. God no- the tip of the bottle is facing you. Huh, the world seems to want you dead tonight, not even giving you a cool-down after each event.
And to make matters about a trillion times worse, the next spin lands on the same menace you called a dinosaur earlier. Ugh, seriously? Maybe this is the earth handing your shit to you because you decided not to donate that extra 90 cents at the atm today? Either way, you're in some deep shit now.
The crowd is roaring, your friends pushing your shoulder so aggressively your body lurches towards the pink-haired muscle man. Ah jeez, you really have to do this.
"Uh actually, I'm feeling pretty sick tonight so I'll head out now..."
A lame excuse but it might work. Right? A surge of boos rumble right after you end your sentence. Realistically, you kinda don't care about your peer's opinions, but Sukuna's expression looks like he isn't taking no for an answer at all. And the people are getting impatient.
"Fuck..." you mutter under your breath
"Don't worry, I'm a good kisser, nerd."
Oh, the urge to wipe that smug smirk off his face is growing by the minute. So strong that you barely notice him reaching forward to grab your chin until his fingers graze your skin, him lifting your face to meet his peering down at you.
Something about the moment feels so charged, the air particles around them drowning the room with energy nobody knew was there to begin with. Both of your hearts thump in unison, your pretty eyes dazing into his. In that moment, lips press against eachother in a soft slow kiss, heat blooming between your mouths and sinking to the abyss of your abdomens.
The act is a stone rolling down a mountain, each kiss gaining more momentum than the last and in turn more feverish than ever. Lines between boundaries and pleasure blur in open mouthed kisses. Low groans soothe your now red ears, eyes closed in passion and arms wrapping around Sukuna's neck. A taste of beer sits on your tongue despite the fact that you haven't had a sip today. Fingers tangle into your hair, tugging slightly before they begrudgingly let go, the rest of his sensual embrace retreating with it.
Screams and yells of awe draw you back to a reality you intially despised, wide pupils darting straight to your friends who look completely struck. They never really knew you had it in you to passionately make out with a stranger in front of an audience- not that they're complaining. Sukuna doesn't even bother sparing a glance to the others though, not even his homeboys that're all cheering for him. Nah, you can tell there's love blossoming behind those pupils. You also feel the roots of love anchoring far in your chest.
The worst part? You aren't disgusted at all, actually.
"Looks like you got really into it, dinosaur."
Okay, sure you are insulting him, but how could he ever respond to that beautiful voice of yours with his rude one? Suddenly, the big bad Sukuna is holding you like a brittle pretty vase, the same man that swings his fists more than he thinks and bullies more than he could count.
"Whatever... you got a number?"
"Yeah."
"You gonna give it to me?"
"...Sure thing."
The folks get bored after a while, the bottle mercilesly spinning for another round. But this time you both sit the game out- why? Because the risk of kissing somebody else might make your hearts bleed for eachother even more. You feel the attraction too, not as strong as Sukuna's but it's still there.
Eventually, the spin the bottle game ends. Time was sprinting on purpose, forcing people, including yourself to leave. Your homegirls all scream at how well you did despite you forgetting they were ever watching. A large picture of Sukuna and the video of that kiss are the only things replaying in your mind. Those kiss-swollen lips bite themselves to be honest!
"See what I told you man? Now she loves ya!" Gojo woops
"Alright, too far... do ya really think so?"
"Uh hell yeah bro!"
"Listen, I saw love behind her eyes bro, trust me." Choso speaks up, hands brought up beside his face.
"Well I got her number."
"That's my boy!" Satoru leans over to pat his back. Sukuna doesn't back away for once.
Like you too, your face and lips are hung up in his mind like a dazzling billboard, too entranced to ever look away.
