Tribute Due

Chapter 3: Epiloge

Summary:

Woe to thee that underestimates the Fae.

Chapter Text

During the ensuing months, construction and rebuilding continued. While most were striving to return their beloved Chicago to its former glory, a small number of unscrupulous citizens roamed the streets and abandoned buildings for loot. Occasionally, a business would be vandalized for both valuables and foodstuff if such items were discovered. While the robberies were few in number overall, it did cause many business owners to be nervous. Most reduced their operating hours and closed after sundown. This included some fast food options that were once popular at night.

All but Olympic Pizzeria.

The store was never subject to theft or vandalism. As a result, it was one of the few food options that remained steadily open during the week and on weekends. And while this did grant the owners a small financial boost, more often than not, more food was given away to those in need than sold to the public. A secondary benefit was soon realized when every single one of the Olympic Pizzeria vendor trucks made their deliveries on time and unmolested.

Individuals within the magical and supernatural community quickly began to realize that Olympic Pizza was under the protection of the Winter Fae. And to tempt their ire was a foolish endeavor. After all, the Fae may be tricky at times, but they will always honor their debts.

Just a little something that took root in my brain and wouldn't leave.
