Bok-Su didn’t particularly like her exotic cousin, Vincent.
He was weird, and annoying, and though he didn’t talk much, she fucking hated how he looked at her. Pointing his nose upward, as though he were some snobbish brat who was better than her.
Though, the last time she’d seen her cousin had been when they were children. And look at her- cashing in a favor from a long, long time ago, for the ability to live with him- for really however long she wanted. And her cousin was bound to her whims.
Why, might you ask?
Because when they were kids, Bok-su helped with a particular problem... One that involved quite a lot of blood. She smiled faintly at that. The little bitch had pulled her into his situation, and she had to help- But he did give her a coupon for a favor.
The one she was currently cashing in.
She had cleverly- Or not so cleverly, thought of the forgotten favor, and called him a couple weeks prior. She knew he owned one of the most successful restaurants in the goddamn city, but he sounded so, so, so begrudging when she called him. He had to say yes, of course, but nonetheless, his begrudging voice brought back such fond memories.
The reason for her random call?
Da-Jeong Choi’s wedding.
Ah, and her fiancée, Myeong-Hoon Dan, being found in a wardrobe, stabbed and bloodied.
She wasn’t necessarily suspected of attempted murder, but rather they were questioning everyone at the wedding if they saw or knew anything- she had spread the rumors well, but she knew there was a chance it could all be led back to her.
So, running from the cops. They technically didn’t know she was running from them, but rather that she was ignoring their persistent calls and interrogations, leading her to disappear from the map.
Thus, her new home, above a fucking restaurant.
Grasping her suitcase tight, she scowls at the dim lighting inside. It was close to 9 PM and the idiot she called her cousin hadn’t come down from his fucking apartment! The utter nerve!
She’d been waiting here for almost an hour! She had called him, and he hadn’t even deigned to answer! The little prick-
Speeding by, a motorcycle zooms by, before screeching to a stop, engine purring easily; the rider maneuvers the vehicle into the alley by La Gueule de Saturne. Thank God! Someone who could get her idiot cousin!
Though, when the male comes striding out, a foot or two taller above her, she raises an eyebrow. Who was this mysterious stranger-
When he finally removes his helmet, she gapes. She gapes and gasps-
“VINCENT!?!!??!”
“Good God, you’re just like Rody,” He mumbled before running a hand through his thick black hair. Soulless eyes as ever; just as Bok-Su remembered.
“Rody-? Hey, you didn’t answer any of my calls! You left me out here for an hour-”
“I was busy.”
“Doing what, pray tell?”
“Helping my idiot employee cook. Or rather, I cooked for him.”
She blinked a couple times before huffing and stomping her foot. “You prick! I called you several times!”
“And?” He brushes invisible lint from his collar.
“Prick!”
“I’ve been called worse,”
“Ugh! Just let me upstairs!”
“I could. But then I want a proper explanation on why you’re here.”
“Let me inside!”
“Say please,” He grinned, showing off his white teeth before he leaned in, eyes narrowing. “And don’t you dare tell me what to do, Bok-Su.”
“Ugh,” She mutters disgruntledly.
“Mm-hmm,” He just rolls his eyes before strolling inside the restaurant after unlocking the three locks- Could he be any more paranoid?
Leading the way, Vincent strides with purpose till they make their way upstairs, with Bok-Su lugging around her heavy suitcase. He was such a prick for not offering to help her.
Once they were inside, she surveyed her new home. It was a modern, art deco style. Too fancy for her preferences, but it was an apartment, nonetheless.
“Rich now, eh?” She grumbled, dropping her things. Vincent just strolled past and went to a back room before reappearing with red wine. A fancy one.
“We’ll exchange pleasantries after alcohol,” He muttered as he sat on his couch. She took up residence in a teal, grey armchair and snorted.
“I suppose.”
“Mm-hm...” He poured two flutes and handed one to her before he leaned back.
“Now, explain, Vincey. How’d you get so rich?”
“I thought I told you not to call me that-?” He sighed before answer, “I opened a restaurant and became famous for my food-”
“Despite not having a sense of taste! -” She cackled.
He continued, unperturbed. “And earned quite a bit. Why are you here, dear cousin?”
“Truth or cover story?”
“Truth,”
“I killed two people.”
“...” He took a deep sip of the wine before shaking his head.
“Oh? Not surprised?” She raised an eyebrow before a smile graced her lips.
“Not at all.”
“Why, pray tell?”
“I quite literally have one of my employee’s girlfriend in my freezer, minced into bits.”
“...” She grew sullen for a moment before tilting her head. “Oh, so you’re a cannibal now?”
“...You’re always so blunt and rude, Bok-Su.”
“Aha! I was right, aren’t I?”
“Hmm, I suppose. But the taste doesn’t matter to me, does it? I don’t have my taste.”
“Heh, of course.” She paused for a moment before tilting her head. “Why do you have your employee’s girlfriend in your freezer?”
“She was cheating on him by trying to get with me, plus, she doesn’t deserve Rody.”
“Ohhh, this Rody you mentioned! Ah, you’re gay!”
“You little bitch-” He sighed before pinching the bridge of his nose.
“I’m right again, aren’t I? Oh, such fun!” She cackled before downing her wine in one gulp.
“Dear Lord, what did I get myself into?” Vincent grumbled.
“You’ve got a roommate, Vincey!”

Winnie and Augustine’s night was going splendidly!
There was the ride here on the bus- their highschool had arranged this trip for graduating seniors, and they both signed up! Winnie was overjoyed, and Augustine just tagged along for Winnie.
Then the chaperones had dropped off all the students at the hotel- where Winnie had excitedly taken off, Augustine in tow, as they explored the city they were in. It was a big city- Amazingly large compared to their small town back home.
The fact that they were in such a large place overwhelmed Augustine, but Winnie had taken it with a smile before running off.
They explored and then came to have lunch at a fancy place! Called... Well, something Saturn! But they had met that nice waiter, Rody, and Winnie had given his phone number to him, and Rody said that he’d show them around the city when he had time! Oh, so nice!
Hopefully, this trip would go by nicely!
This was a beautiful city after all.
Filled with liars, murderers, cannibals and much, much worse.
