"Bah!, I'll rest first. I just had a sprain from earlier. Junior couldn't take my strength so he stepped on my feet to manipulate the game." I said while walking to the bleachers. Making fun of Junior.
Junior who was deemed wrong, just raised his middle finger and continued playing the game. It was not because of Junior, I had a sprain because of a shoot yesterday. There was a scene where I have to be tackled and out of all the worst things to happen, my feet didn't coordinate well with my braincells that I sprained them. Anyway, this is also a rest for me as I thought I was going to be fine, but my friends, Junior and Bah, just invited me last week and I can't turn them down when I have already given my word.
Scrolling through my cellphone, Dew's instagram comment to one of our friends was the first thing I've noticed. I get that Dew has signed up for multiple projects on his plate following the success of his debut series. Their friendship and ghost ships are strong enough to produce more works with the same anticipation coming from the fans. However, no matter how much he wanted to balance things, there will always be an Achilles on his heel holding him back. In his case, in our final year of college, his thesis just happens to be lacking and he can't lend his time to redo them.
Going back to the post, it was one of our yearbook pictorial where those who are sure to graduate and join, must apply for the toga and pictorial studio. I just went there last week finishing all the necessary requirements before leaving the university. Dew commented on a post with our friends and classmates from our batch, but I was not there because I had to go back to the company for an event nor is Dew whose undeniable full-packed.
There is one thing I am planning to do, but it would cause my family's expectations and time. I am not sure how things will end, but I promised that I will always be there for him, for Dew, no matter what happens.
"I might have to miss it this time. I'll be lonely." Dew commented on the post.
"Don't worry, I'll be with you." I replied.
Yes, this is the plan I was aiming for. I have talked to my Thesis adviser earlier. He said that there are only minor revisions to do and given that I have already presented the title and partial part of the research, surely, I am going to march for my graduation if things gets finalized. However, thinking back, Dew is one of my closest friends. Given the workloads that he has, there is always something he needs to give up.
And that is, a final year with his friends

DEW CALLING...
"Tee..." he started.
"Dew, are you done with your commercial shoot? I am here with Bah and Junior in the Basketball Court. Do you wann--"
"Stop it, Tee. You know I'm not calling to talk about me. What do you mean by your comment? Aren't you in the campus earlier talking to your professor for your final revisions? Here you are, insinuating that you'll have to stay for a year with me. What do you mean by that?" It's obvious that he's not in the mood as he is raising his voice and is spitting his anger everywhere.
"Dew, can't you calm down first? We are not having this conversation if you're not gonna tone down your voice speaking to me." I can't talk to someone clouded with emotions.
"Okay, white flag. I'll try to be composed... Now tee. Explain."
"I'll be taking a break for a while. Yes, there were minor errors in my thesis, but P'X just called me earlier to talk about a new project. It was quite big and I have to lend most of my time. I'm all in for this project and you know how serious I am when it comes to work or task given to me." I explained.
"Are you sure this is not about..." He trailed off...
"Anyways, nevermind. Sure it is, Tee. Congratulations for that project! Make sure to tell me what it is the moment I come back." He stated shrugging the topic from earlier.
"Hmmm...bye."
