Two days later, and the whole building was cleaned of trash and grime and only needed to be repainted and repaired.
The problem being, he didn’t have any tools or paint to use.
If he did go to get the tools and paint, he would have to bring Dani with him, because he doesn’t have anybody he trusts to take care of her. (It’s definitely not separation anxiety, what makes you think that Jazz?)
(Jazz & Tucker would have loved to babysit and spend time with her even if they jokingly complained about it.)
Now, this normally wouldn’t be a problem, except for Dani’s new found- obsession like need for his attention.
He doesn’t even know how she developed her ‘obsession’ or when it had started, she never seemed to like him.
He assumed that she had hated him before ‘The Incident’.
Heck, Something he always regretted because he didn’t know what it all entailed, was letting Dani leave to travel around the world, he only took it as proof that she didn’t like him and so he left it alone and let her go.
He will always regret it.
(Dani didn’t actually leave, she just took over a abandoned warehouse at the edge of the city.)
(What Danny doesn’t know, is that Dani was still originally a part of Vlad.
Dani’s obsession is learning about new languages and Cultures, Yes.
However, that was her Secondary Obsession.
Dani Phantoms First, Primary Obsession was and always will be-
Danny Phantom.)
Now, this need for his attention isn’t exactly a problem, he likes that he can give her such attention.
Before, when he tried to give her attention she would always darted away from him, he thought that he reminded her of Vlad and so he would catch himself and would instead start to bake some food for her to eat.
(Dani had actually loved whenever Danny gave her attention, but it was a problem because it caused her obsession to flare up in glee.
So, she would always quickly have to leave otherwise Danny would see her start to destabilize, she had seen his face when she started to do that before and was unwilling to give him more trauma about it.)
Now, how is all this important you ask?
Well, whenever some stranger invaded Danny’s space or got too close for Dani’s liking, she would attack by trying to bite them.
Normally, that wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t for the fact that she can bite through steel.
So after walking home from the store and suddenly some stranger is way to close in Danny’s personal space and has a hand on his shoulder…
Well…
Can you blame Dani for inheriting Danny’s feral instincts and repressed rage and using them on whatever she deems a threat?
